ESPN has started its annual bowl guessing game. This year they have added a "confidence factor" multiplier to add to the intrigue.

I went ahead and started an Outsports group. Group name is Outsports and password is outsports (clever, huh? wink )

Here is the link:

I think that's a great choice of groupname and password!

We have five members in our group today, but the more the merrier. biggrin.gif

You have until Dec. 16 if you want to get in your selections for all the bowl games but you can make picks up until Dec. 25, but can not make picks for any bowls already over.

Hope to see you all there!

With 3 days to go before the first bowl game starts I thought I would bump this to the top.

We now have 7 players and room for many more. So whether you are snuggled in at home or busy with holiday preperations, take some time and join in. As I mentioned earlier, this year's contest includes a confidence factor that should make the game very interesting with lots of lead changes and the potential to go down to the wire. biggrin.gif

Purdue Fan: Thanks for setting up the Pool. I'm in. - I hope I'm not dead money. Hey what are we playing for? Other than grins. Think about everybody donating something? That way everybody wins. First place get - first pick of gifts. Second place get second pick etc....

Here's what I'm donating:

1. French Rugby Stade Calendar and 3 new Xbox games. Like Counter Strike, Links, and NFL 2003
(or winner can pick PC games -if no Xbox).
BTW: Purdue will kill Georgia dawgs.

That is a great idea, but I am not sure how the logistics of that would work out. How about if you just send me the Rugby calendar and we call it good! biggrin.gif

Well, bowl season starts today and we have 11 players. Thanks to everyone for participating. To any other who are still interested, there is still time. In fact, you have until Christmas day to make picks for any unplayed bowls. And with the "confidence factor", you can still do some damage.

Here's to a great bowl season and the upcoming heated discussions on which team is number 1!!!
Miamidr
I'll add to the prizes and donate an autograph picture of Mike, the Miami Cheerleader, in the yellow swimsuit. His phone number doesnt come with the deal.

Pleeeeeeeeeeeease?

Okay Guys. I challenge to find a prize. It could be as little as a box of trojans or a sex toy. wink wink I'm dead serious - sorta like exchanging gifts. I'm getting too sentimental?
Think hard and come up with a goofy gift. The Xbox games don't cost me much and I'll gladly give up the Sportif Stade Calendar - after all the hype and googling it's caused justifies Fit being the first Place Prize.

One game down. 8 winnners -how about Miaimdr and Nola making it thier top pick- way to go.

Speaking of Chumps- I'm 2 for 2 but I have 3 pt. Geez Louise.............

with the Peach Bowl over my elimination is official, damn Florida and Tennessee
Purdue Fan
I am pretty sure that with Tennessee's loss, GeauxTigers has clinched. Even though he used the default confidence factor, excellent picks kept him the leader from wire to wire I believe.

Congrats!

And I agree with Brees, stupid SEC teams!!! Damn your hides to Hades! Win when you are not supposed to (Georgia, I hate you forever!) and lose when you should dominate (Tennessee, a top ten team???!!!???)
Boltergeist
no I woulda been REALLY gone had Georgia lost, I had all 3 SEC East teams at high confidence levels 23-25
GeauxTigers
Thanks for the congrats PurdueFan...and also for setting up the group. While clinching is nice, it will only be complete with an LSU win in the Sugar Bowl. GEAUX TIGERS!
