This week's topic: Old Stadiums

1) Which Div I-A teams USED to play in the following stadiums?

Centennial Field
Carson Stadium
Beaver Field
Duke Stadium
Miles Stadium
Nielsen Stadium
Riddick Stadium
Hayward Field
Faulkner Field
Tangerine Bowl
Rogers Field
Zimmerman Stadium
Walnut Street Stadium
University Athletic Plant
Cotton Bowl
McLean Stadium
Parker Stadium
Goodwin Stadium
Fairfield Stadium

(Note: some are older facilities not in use anymore, others old names for the current stadium)

2) It's not uncommon for a school to build a new stadium nearby and keep the same name, but what stadium was rebuilt 120 miles away and why?

Good Luck!

Come on down here to Orlando... I'll take care of you. (I taped UM/UF so we could watch that... you thought I meant the other 'take care of you'?)

Ahem, anyway.... yes those two are right. Still need Nielsen Stadium and the 120 mile move.

BUZZZZZZZZZZZZ!

Okay, time's up. Here are the answers to the unanswered parts.

Nielsen Stadium is the former home for the Rutgers Scarlet Knights.

Wake Forest University was originally founded in Wake Forest, NC (which is just north of Raleigh and the football team played at Groves Stadium. When the school moved to Winston-Salem the Groves family made an additional financial contribution to keep the stadium name. The team originally played in the city-owned Bowman Gray Stadium until the new Groves Stadium was built. Interestingly, it took nearly 20 years for them to get that new stadium built.

Congratulations to im4psu for getting all the others right.

Jim
