Herr Tiggee is correct. Every time Paula Deen calls is a Pea-CAN I want to bitchslap here. It's Pee-kahn and my Dad makes the best Pecan pies around. He always has some in the freezer and I'll get us some.
Herr Tiggee
Jan 16 2006, 03:16 PM
Aubie - you bring one, and ATLSport can bring one of Tumpsie's...we'll have a comparison.
BBQ Pork OK with everyone?
If the lez-beens wanna have some girly veggie dish, they can deal with that on their own. wink
One favor I'd like to ask is for a space on the floor of one of the RVs to unfurl my sleeping bag & pillow after the long Saturday drinky-fest. I require a space about 6 1/5 feet by 3 feet.

Hey, if you don't mind layin' on sticky, appletini-soaked linoleum, be our guest.

I'm sure Tiggee's slept on sticky linoleum several times before. Are you sure that's appletini though? eek!

Yummmm...
I'm probably getting waaaay ahead of myself, but planning is half the fun. A lot of our tailgate plans will be dependent on the game time, but even then, we've planned our tailgating weekends in the past the same way we've planned camping trips: a couple or group is responsible for one meal. Divides up the labor, divides up the cost, etc.
If Tiggee is thinking BBQ pork, we lez-beens could do game-day brunch. You do need a solid drinking platform, after all. Something like fluffy scrambled eggs with chives, Virginia country ham, sausage, herb-cheese cornbread, fresh fruit salad, mimosas, bloody maries.
Anybody hungry?
Herr Tiggee
Jan 17 2006, 10:31 AM
So I take it you'll have the necessary cooking capabilities? Will anyone have a ginormous deep-fryer? Blender? Grill?
Sounds like we might need to have Schaubie and Ms. Schnaubie do the Friday night food, Lez-bo nation will do Saturday morning fare, and I (and maybe ATLSport, if he's interested) can whip up the Saturday lunch.
I really think this game's a 3:30pm CBS affair, and I think it might be fun to hit a restaurant/bar that night. We can watch the night games and drink pitcher beer, or sumpin'.
Aubie In Bham
Jan 17 2006, 10:35 AM
We'll do the Friday night food with no problem. I'll round up the old weber kettle grill and bring it and we'll grill something. We'll make all of the sides in advance and just use the microwave and over to heat them up. With two RV's, we should have plenty of oven space. We'll let the boys do the dishes afterwards.

I dunno if I'd call it "obsessive." We're Southerners and we naturally like to plan menus and tasteful entertainment, no matter how far in advance. You just mark your calendar and show up, 'kay? (If you have cute lesbo friends, bring them. You'll be
extra welcome).
HT, we don't be needin' no fryer. The Barbie stoves in the RVs should be sufficient for baking, and ours will have a microwave. The grills work well, and of course, we'll bring a blender. No self-respecting grrrl leaves home for fabulous tailgating without a grill and blender. Or three.
But what's this about "bars" in "Auburn" for after-game festivities? I thought that you had to go to HoJon's in Fungomery if the War Eagle Supper Club was too crowded. Hell, closest I've seen to a "bar" in Orbarn was warm beer in forgotten 12-pack containers at Toomer's "Corner." Not that there'll be any TP in those trees on a certain weekend in mid-October.
Fondly,
GJ
p.s. "Bars" in Awben. I'm still laffin. Next thing, you'll be tellin me that there are homasexshills there, too.
Herr Tiggee
Jan 17 2006, 11:48 PM
GJ - Auburn's changed significantly since you were last there. I was absent from the place from 1996-2003 when I lived in California. I was frankly shocked by the quantity of chain-stuff that's popped up in recent years. It's still no Athens (thank god for that), but there's so much chain-restaurant shit down there and some of them are close to where you'll most likely be RV'ing. They'll have TVs...and beer. That's the minimum requirement anyways, right?
I'm beginning to think you want us all to visit the Supper Club. wink
Aubie In Bham
Jan 18 2006, 04:52 AM
Lord Chillins', y'all think that GJ and her crew are going to want to go out after a beatdown by the Awbarn Tigahs? I think we need to hire a cute boy and girl to come out and grill for us and then drive our drunk asses to the bars. I believe the Supper club (the bus is dead and is now part of the bar) close to our RV'ing but we can't drive while drinking.
Stu, yo' emails is being delayed agin.

Another issue will be tickets. Those won't be on sale until June or July, but we should have a list of planned attendees by that point, and we need to try to buy blocks. GJ will undoubtedly want to be in the UF scetion. She should buy enough to accomodate everyone who plans on cheering for UF. [word of warning: watch out for those upperdeck assignments. you'll hate it up there]
I'll try to get a block of as many seats as I can for those who will cheer for AU, although we'll need to know what Aubie and ATLSport plan on doing on their own side.

I actually have a way better chance of getting tix if I get 'em with you all. It'd be more fun to sit together, and after all, isn't this whole thing about sportsmanship (with a little smack thrown in)?
We'll be good examples for the rest the stadium - good drunken, gay examples.

Yaaay! And hell yes it counts, since I'm kinda a fag in a lesbo body.
As for the girls, I have a permanent one of my own, but additional eye candy is dandy. Especially if they help the houseboys. They can fan us as we recline and bring us appletinis.

As to seating - to reiterate - BostonGirl and I would rather sit with a fun bunch in the "enemy" section than a bunch of random people in the Gator section. Our friends feel the same way.
Conversely, if we were to go to a game at The Swamp, we'd rather you War Beagle folk sat with us than your fellow Beagles.
And if any Gator "fans" harassed you because of your Beagle alliance, we'd kick...their...a$$. Or at least refuse to share our flasks. That would be a far more cruel punishment.

I am leaving ATLSport off unless he wants to sit with us, but his family has choice seats and he never has to worry about it. So my guess is that he'll take those with his family.
So this sounds like 10 tickets...together! Jeesh. This sounds like a StubHub rape job just waiting to happen. Be prepared to pay $100 per tickey!
