Jim asked me to get a thread started to see who wants to be a pollster for this year's poll.

Yeah - it's a bit late in the season to start the poll, but at this point there will be less drastic changes week to week.

If you're interested in joining, please reply to this post and include your email address or shoot me an email (SeattleHokie@hotmail.com) so I can get you involved.

There is a Web application created that everyone will be logging their weekly rankings in, but there are some issues right now with the Web server guys and getting the poll set up. For the first week or two we might just be emailing me the top 16 (yes, 16 teams only this year).

Voting will be done each week on Sunday and last until 5pm ET on Monday. Results will then be made available right away (in the case of the Web application) or as soon as Cyd & Jim can update the site. I will also try and get the poll posted here in the message board.

Thanks!

Time hasn't run out yet if you want to be a part of the Outsports college football poll! Email me (SeattleHokie@hotmail.com) or reply to this post and I'll get you on the list.

If you have emailed me or replied to this post already, look for an email coming your way by tomorrow morning asking for your top-16!

If anyone would like to join the ranks of "pollsters" for this week's Outsports.com top-16 poll, please email me (SeattleHokie@hotmail.com) by 5pm PT (8pm ET) Monday with your top-16 and answers to the following questions:

1. Can Auburn remain undefeated in SEC competition and make it to Atlanta for the SEC Championship game?

2. What should be done with the Big East's automatic BCS bid now that Boston College will be a member of the ACC?

3. Who will be the next coach to break the Division I-A coaching record once Bowden and Paterno retire?

Make sure you include your first name or bulletin board name in the email too so I can add that to your answers!

Thanks, Richie (aka BigTheta)

Click on the same link that you voted in the poll. Tennessee is still not ranked (but is getting votes!)...does it look to everyone else that only 9 people voted this week? Can someone please explain how the point system works in the poll?
