Reports out of California that has Reggie Bush's parents living in a house owned by a San Diego businessman this past season...Could mean big trouble for USC....

Quite A Story

Would the Heisman folks ask for it back?
How many games does USC forfeit?
Why didn't they have the patience to wait a year until the NFL payday?
Does Notre Dame somehow get a national championship out of this?

I don't think this means trouble for Reggie Bush as much as it does trouble for USC, which could see its last two national championships removed from the books. Bush's personal accomplishments are secure.

Adam,
You mean USC's last one-and-a-half championships? They shared one with LSU. Besides, his parents moved in March of 2005 so he may be ruled ineligible for the 2005 season when all USC won was the Pac-10 title.

As often happens in cases like this, the investigation into the financial arrangements made by Reggie Bush's stepfather grows more complicated and muddy each day. There are reports the family paid no rent on the house in which they lived last year, having agreed to pay the money after Bush signed on with an NFL team, with Reggie's stepfather being a partner in the management team that owned the home. Additionally, there are stories that the fledgling management company paid for Bush's family to travel to USC away games.

Other reports say that the sports agent who was forming the management company hired an attorney to "threaten to reveal embarrassing personal information about the Bush family" if Bush didn't pay $3.2 million the agent claims is owed him once Bush decided not to sign with the the agent's company.

It sounds like the Bush family is now waking up with fleas.
