For you Army-Navy football fans, ESPN will air an hour show
about playing football at the academies during wartime. It's about 2001 season.
Lots of interviews with guys on the teams.
ESPN: The Season: Army - Navy will be aired Friday,
Dec. 14 at 8 p.m. ET.
For those of you who don't recall, Navy football was 9-3 five years ago and we won the Aloha Bowl.
We hired a new coach last week- Paul Johnson. He was our offensive coordinator for Navy that season.
Everyone's excited he's back. Navy football will be a lot better the next few years. The team is psyched!
Beat Army!

What an awesome show!....the hourlong behind-the-scenes footage of Army-Navy week could have gone on for 3 more hours and I don't think any viewer would have complained....I was surprised that ESPN was given as much access as they were to tell all the stories of the great camaradrie at West Point and Annapolis (especially involving the seniors) and what the Cadets and Midshipmen experience during the final week....not to mention, all the locker room shots of those hot young men wasn't bad either ....I don't know if ESPN is going to repeat this episode of "The Season" but if they do and you missed it the first time you should definitely catch it.

I found it impossible to find this on ESPN's own site, but TVGuide.com's listings show repeats on:
Sunday, 12/16 3:00 AM EST (2 hours, 15 minutes as I write this!)
Friday, 12/21 4:00 PM EST
Tuesday, 12/25 7:00 PM EST (on ESPN2)

FYI, J. in Philly, since ESPN's series "The Season" has been focusing on a different subject or team every week I'm not certain that the episodes you list will include the Army/Navy footage aired on Friday night....while the 3AM Sunday episode (shown five hours ago now) probably reaired that story, I doubt that next Friday's show will be the same....TV Guide doesn't describe what the content of the episode will be -- only the title of the show (similar to ESPN's weekly "Outside the Lines" on Sunday mornings with Bob Ley).

The TVGuide.com online listing does specifically state that the episode is the Army-Navy episode. And they've added another airing: Tuesday, 1/1 2:00 am EST on ESPN2. Of course, you never know when the listings are going to be incorrect so let the buyer beware.
