As much as I wouldn't mind watching Erotic E or the Jizzmatic Joey play Miami, Colorado should be there. Oregon is #2, Colorado #3, and Nebraska #4 in the USA Today Coaches Poll. I don't think that Oregon can overcome the point deficit. However, if Colorado is ahead of Nebraska in the AP poll also, that should be enough to drown the smell of Buffalo dooky with the smell of roses.

Gee - you think a team with two (2) losses should smell the roses? How bout you wake up and smell the coffee! Has everyone forgotten Colorado's 42-7 loss to Texas earlier in the season?
Those Buffybois got mired in Longhorn manure!

I guess you have short term memory loss as Colorado just whipped Texas in the Big 12 Championship. Besides, it's how you're playing at the end of the season. That's why there should be a playoff. At this point, I think Colorado can beat anyone.

IMOHO...
The team that should play Miami, should be...
A) Should be Non-Big East.

Should be undefeated or no more than 1 loss to a team eliminated from contention for another reason.
C) Should have won their conference.
D) Should not be a team that allowed stretegies to change to showcase a player or position for post season awards.
E) Should not be a team that has lost in their last five games. (We need to strong closers for the national championship)
F) Should be greenish or orangish in color to not take away from Miami's inevitable win.
Therefore, the only real Rose Bowl I will watch is....
Miami, FL VS Marshall
Go Thundering Herd!!!

Colorado is ahead of Nebraska in the final AP poll. They just might do it.

I can't believe how close the final BCS formula results were. But for all the opinions of "who should play Miami," each of the pretenders has themselves to blame for leaving the issue up to other teams.
1. Nebraska - although they're in, they lost the last game, gave up 62 points, and didn't even win their conference.
2. Oregon - blew a late lead over Stanford.
3. Colorado - I wouldn't focus on the loss to Texas, since they avenged it. But they lost to Fresno State.
And what about some other "what ifs"?
Fresno State - had they only stayed focused on beating the inferior teams in their conference, they had a clear path to the Rose Bowl after all the carnage other teams experienced.
Tennessee - what the Hell did Fulmer say in the locker room at halftime? I wonder, because the UT team that took the field in the second half was in complete disarray.
Florida - I am still in shock that a team with this much talent could lose to a 7-4 team, and lost at home as well.
UCLA - Undone by an automobile, and a Heisman hopeful's error. Undefeated before the incident. Practically winless after it.

You are right, each of the three teams--there are many others--had a chance to lay an undisputed claim.
What happens if Nebraska beats Miami and Oregon beats Colorado? Look for a split national championship.

Of all the years I can think of, this year would be one of the best to have a college football "final four".
Miami Colorado, Nebraska, and Oregon all in the same town. First round on Thursday, final on Monday...three days to recover...is that possible??? Thursday's games would be Colorado vs. Miami and Oregon vs. Nebraska. Winners play on Monday. Oh well, that will remain in my dreams right there next to Brett Favre.
