The exact moment of the announcement
Damn, it's HEAVY! Two other reasons he won:
1) He's a senior
2) Christmas present toy for Alexi (he's gotta watch the money, no huge 1st round contract for him, after all)
And also .......

...with Grossman a pretty close second. Looks pretty good for him over the next two years if he can keep doing what he does.
Congrats to Eric!

What now for Eric? Most experts feel he won't be an NFL QB. Can he play QB in Canada? Will he play another position in the NFL?

I think that he should celebrate tonight by having an orgy with the other top 3.

In a just-concluded interview on ESPN Radio, E told Mel Kiper and the other host that he wanted to have a chance to try playing QB, but
"if they want me to try another position, I'm glad I have that option". My opinion: Scott Frost redux

I nominate Joey to toss E's salad. How about the other two? (what's Grossman's shoe size)?

If there's a trophy for looks, it should go to Joey!

Yet another reason to roll your eyes at college football. How does a quarterback who throws over 50% more interceptions than touchdowns win the Heisman?
I am very quickly losing interest in college football.

Maybe because the trophy goes to the best COLLEGE FOOTBALL PLAYER, and not the best quarterback. That one is the Davey O'Brien award... oh, wait he won, that one also!!

CYD - now you sound like a little boy who is losing a game and knocks the gamboard over cause he doesn't want to lose. I was hoping to see a shot of a CRYING TENNESSEE BOY during the game last night, to make up for that lingering shot ABC took of the crying Nebraska boy at the Colorado game - but seeing CYD CRY all over the place on the discussion board is almost as good!

If I was the only one rolling my eyes at all this, I'd say you might be right. But I wasn't the one ranking Nebraska #1 this week
I guess if you're a Huskers fan, you can lose the game and STILL win it. Seems the same thing happened Tom Osborne's last year coaching . . .
