Without statistics to compare, I have to say that the last two years leave me with the impression that investigations into violations of NCAA rules have increased to abnormally high levels. No need to roll out a list of those on probation and those recently investigated or currently under investigation. The trend seems to have touched on every conference in the last two years (although I'm sure someone has stats to indicate some conf has remained immune).

So what gives? Why have investigations become so frequent? Is it that...
(a) Ethics are out the window and everyone is trying to get ahead?
