What's the deal with that? Picking up the baseball and throwing it back at the pitcher. Is this guy on drugs or what?
I just wish it had been Roger Clemens on the mound. He would have thrown a bat back.

I say its about time the batters started retaliating like this. These pitchers just go way to overboard with hitting batters. The Indians and Twins have been going at it like this all season. When a pitcher is more concerned with plunking a batter than they are with getting the batter out, its kind of a problem.

I agree George. Hitting the batter is turning into some kind of standard defensive play, which is entirely wrong. It's happening too often to be just a mistake.
On the other side, Torii Hunter's retaliation brings up the subject - is it Roid Rage? This is dangerous. One of the effects of steroids is exactly that kind of rage. The use of these substances becomes dangerous after a point. I have no idea whether Torii is actually using roids, but this behavior is so typical of substance abuse. It could lead to serious circumstances where a player could be seriously injured with rages of this nature. Drug free, there's instances where players get mad, but this shit is unforgivable. Three game suspension? Well, I would like to see a blood test!

Whatever you think of Hunter's behavior, calling it "roid rage" is a non-sequitur. This somewhat trumped-up steroid use issue is becoming a crutch for baseball-bashing writers. What "drugs" was Ty Cobb on when he went into the stands and beat up fans? (Maybe he *should've* been medicated...)
