Three days ago, who would have guessed that the Big 12 Championship will be between Colorado and Texas??? I know I certainly wouldn't have placed money on that bet. If my Horns can beat Colorado again, then they might be able to play in the National Championship game. Yes, the title game may be a long shot, but so was being the Big 12 South Champions, and now we're that.

Ok, I need to stop bouncing (literally) around my apartment. I'm so stoked right now!! There is a huge smile on my face and I don't think it will go away for several days. Can't wait until next weekend. Hook' Em!

After spending Thanksgiving in Colorado with the family, Friday rolled around and I did not believe I could get any happier when my beloved Horns spanked the aggies.

And then Colorado whupped Nebraska. Life just got better. (Eric, call me. I'm willing to help console you in any way I can.) Must have been one particularly nasty bus ride back to Lincoln.

So you can imagine the rapture I experienced when I learned that the sooners lost. I was, of all places, in an airport bar at the Salt Lake City airport when ESPN showed that final score. I let out one helluva whoop. I thought the big haired Mormon barmaid was gonna hand me over to the cornfed boys of the Utah National Guard. (As an aside, I have no idea how those puritans are going to pull off a great Olympics.) Just what the hell was going on in the Big 12 this weekend?

So, fellow SF Horns fans, shall we caucus at the Final Final for what has got to be a most unexpected Big 12 championship?

I can't believe that Chris Simms sucks so bad! Not only did he single handedly lose the game by turning the ball over 4 times in the first half, but he caused Cedric Benson and Mike Williams to get injured.

It's funny how in the only two big games that Texas has had this year, Chris Simms has managed to turn the ball over 8 times (4 in the Okalahoma game and 4 in the Colorado game). If his daddy wasn't a big MVP superbowl quarter back, would he even be playing football at the collegic level? I mean, when you have 4 wide receivers who will go in the first round of the NFL draft, all you need to do is throw the ball close to them.

If Major Applewhite would have been starting all along, Texas would be undefeated. Mack Brown, you are a hell of a recruiter, but you are a dumb couch.
