But for my money, this is the oddest. Injury of the week: the Orioles' Marty Cordova. From Thursday's Baltimore Sun:

[quote] Hargrove did not put left fielder Marty Cordova in the lineup yesterday because Cordova has been advised to stay out of the sun after burning his face in a tanning bed Monday.

"The doctor told him to stay out of the sun as much as possible," Hargrove said. "With a 12:30 game in California, it's tough to stay out of the sun. I probably will DH him [today]."
