My Sooners had less trouble with Fresno State than expected... The stadium renovation/expansion is awesome! After thoroughly enjoying, watching that a** whipping in Austin, looking forward to meeting the Horns in Dallas! Michigan looking good....

Well of course Fresno was playing with a backup quarterback (the starter Pinegar (or is that Pine Tar/ is still hurt. Irregardless, it was still a convincing win - good luck as you start Big 12 play.

Hey guys:

Well, I still have to say that OU has yet to play two impressive teams back to back, so I have not made up my mind on them just yet. They have UCLA next, and I plan to watch that game, and use it to kinda gage exactly where they are at. But, Offensive Coordinator Chuck Long is finally able to use a QB to throw the ball, and I think that OU may just have to beat some teams with the pass, because they ran the ball good against a Fresno State defense that is ranked #100 against the run, but OU has not been able to run it against anyone else. OU will need to show me they can run against UCLA and some other tough defenses before I will believe that OU is solid in all areas of the game. I was looking ahead to the Texas/OU game as a test for OU, but unless Coach Mack shakes his trends, OU will walk over Texas again, because Coach Brown seems to have the same problem that former QB Chris Simms had, they CANNOT win big games.

Sooner fans are happy with the win against Fresno State, and that is good, but they did not impress me enough yet. They looked good against Alabama, but not great. Until they show me that they can look great against a Top 10 team, there will be questions in the back of my mind about this OU team.

UCLA game was fun from a fan perspective. Perkins record-setting day was great! Short run game still needs work, but looks like the offensive line is starting to gel. Ferguson's punts looked good; no blocks! Was worried about the linebacker position with Mitchell out, but the red-shirt guy came through. He'll be OK. We're off next Saturday, then Iowa State warmup pre-Texass... Texas had it easy with Rice. October 11th should be interesting.

Could it be...an OU-Tennessee National Championship game? We shall see! That would be awesome! Since Texas can never do the job, there will finally be a UT team that can finally defeat OU. smile.gif

SoonerBoi you are right, Saturday's game was great fun for the fans. Antonio Perkins had more yards from the 3 kick returns than UCLA's total offense. Starting to look like OU-Texas could be a romp but the more interesting question is, what will the Kansas State-Texas game look like?

I'm thinking it could be ugly...really ugly.
