Full Version: Taking Short Leave
Outsports Discussion Board > Outsports > Football, College
GatorJamie
I haven't been around much in the past week, but it's not because I've been drowning in orange-and-blue disappointment (I was actually fairly happy with Zookie's first year), but because I've been busybusybusy getting work duties squared away before I have neuro surgery on my hand next month.

So -- I'll be taking a short leave for the next couple of months as I recover. I'll be doing more lurking than posting on this board during my recovery period, which will neatly coincide with a trip to Costa Rica in the works for my girlfriend's 40th b-day (gawd knows, she's earned it, having dealt with my crew and me during football season) We'll of course accept travel advice!

Gator Jamie is symptomatic of the new breed of sports board posters. It's all about HER, not about the team. It's this kind of "Oooohhhh, my poor hand won't be able to type" selfishness that is destroying this great country as surely as Communism tried to.

I hope your surgery goes well and come back soon, hear?

GJ, hope your recovery goes well. Have fun in Costa Rica but hurry on back now. What would this board be without Gator smack talk from band geek (heh heh) Gator Jamie?

GJ have a great time...we will miss our "bandie"

Gator-ette, hearty wishes for a full and speedy recovery -- better hope the doctor isn't an FSU grad (sorry, couldn't resist there)....you've been a great addition to this board -- I never thought a gay Gamecock dude would ever wish a Gator well but sometimes fellow grads of the great SEC have gotta stick together.

It looks like Zook has retained his job (at least for one more year anyway) and Donovan's boys on the hardwood aren't lookin too bad this year either (especially the CUTE Brett Nelson)....I gotta give y'all credit -- the Gator athletic department never fails to produce some mighty fine lookin dudes....must be all that sunshine that keeps em so hot.

Enjoy your time in Costa Rica and the upcoming holidays and as they like to say down south, hurry back now, ya hear!

GJ,

Good luck with the hand surgery...and have a great time in Costa Rica. Look for you at next years PSU-OSU game in State College.

Gaytorette, good luck with the surgery. If you happen to be in PC for the holidays, email me, because I know I have to run down there one day.

Thanks, guys, for the warm thoughts. I go in Jan. 14, but have a ton of work until then, plus "vacation" to Panama City between the holidays to see my mom for her birthday. My Girlfriend-the-Saint is going to do the bulk of the driving, and we'll have our 85-pound Old English sheepdog, Spencer (who is a VeryGoodBoy), with us.

Aubie, Yep, I'll be in the Redneck Riviera. I can't return your private email for whatever weird cyber-reason. Can you email me your email address (or whatever is most comfy for you) & I'll send contact info. It would be great to get together!

Even though you're a Gaytor, I still wish you luck on your surgery. Contrary to popular belief, an FSU doctor would be the best thing for you. But anyway, you will be SORELY missed. You know I love you girl. I know you'll be back with us sooner than you think just because you can't get enough of us.

Da Kid.

GJ, I'll miss you too, because I always liked what you've had to say and how you've said it. Good luck with the surgery and next time you're back here in "Kooktown" let's connect!
Merry Christmas and best wishes for a Happy, Healthy & Prosperous New Year!
