Caught the final installment of "Sidelines" on ESPN, which was a weekly half-hour documentary on the fortunes of this year's Texas A&M football team.

Aside from having lots of airtime for the team hunks, it also portrayed an event that was lost in all the post-Sept. 11 confusion (at least I never heard about it).

At one of the first A&M home games after the attack, Kile field was completely done out in Red, White and Blue -- that is, EVERYONE in the three level stadium was decked out in their designated color of the flag. The bottom level, everyone dressed in blue, the middle level white, and the upper level red.

Now, if you've never been to Kile Field, the place is huge. It you're sitting in the top row, you feel more like you're flying than watching a football game. So it was really an incredibly inspiring site to see this massive facility stadium decked out this way. Must have been awesome to be there.

I found this show to be a major diasappointment. I had hoped it would focus more on the football team, but too much of it was about regular students (and not very interesting students at that!).

Mmm . . . that's too bad. I only saw the last episode. While it certainly wasn't art cinema, there were lots of shot of some really handsome meaty boys, and some great on-field shots.

Hmmmmm. Do I start my taxes early, or do I watch Sidelines?
I think I'll do the taxes.
