Head football coach Randy Walker died last night of an apparent heart attack. He was only 52 years old. He was the first ever Northwestern coach to lead the school to 3 bowl games.

THe Cats are going back to where it all started from with Pat Fitzgerald's hiring. Fitzgerald was a member of the Northwestern crew that took the "Purple to Pasadena".

He was a great man from what I saw on the sidelines and helped get Northwestern to that Rose Bowl back in 1996 I believe. I think NU is in good hands with their current coach. Espn.com has the story. He's a hot 37 year old!!
