We have 9 terrific match-ups, but need a tenth. Which game would you like to see in the contest?

I picked Maryland - West Virginia. Maryland and West Virginia have been playing each other for over ten years, and have a decent rivalry going. The Terps dominated the past couple of years, but with the Terps troubles this year, it could be a close contest. I'll still be rooting for the Terps though. smile.gif

I did the same. I, though, always enjoy those Big Ten - Notre Dame match-ups, but Michigan State this year ... no ... especially since their starting QB, Jeff Smoker, is questionable for the game.

I like the fact that Marshall played tough against Tennessee in Knoxville, but beyond that I don't know enough about them or KSU.

Bowling Green at Ohio State is intriguing. Those smaller schools in Ohio seem to have an axe to grind with The big state school (look at what Cincinnati almost did last year).

I picked BGSU-OSU just for the sheer idea of seeing who would go with the Falcons over the Buckeyes in this matchup, I think it would be thw most intriguing ... just like NIU at Bama

Theodoresdaddy had a good point on another thread. There is a chance that the MD-WV game could be postponed (although they could always reschedule it for Sat. I suppose). If this contest wins the poll, but the game is postponed and not played this weekend, perhaps the second place choice could be the tenth game.

The WVU @ MD game is Saturday evening -- by that point Isabel will be a soggy memory (and hopefully not too bad of a clean-up).

But what about the TAMU @ VaTech game on Thursday night? -- the track has the storm going inland right over Virginia on Thursday and early Friday.

Hurricanes and their remants can wreck havoc on game predictions -- I believe Louisville's upset of Florida State last season was abetted by a deluge that came north from the Gulf after a hurricane.

Abetted is a good word. I wouldn't use the weather as an excuse, but it was certainly a contributing factor.

Isabel is enough reason to avoid east coast games, so I'm saying OSU-BGSU.

The voters have spoken -- it's WVU @ MD -- and it wasn't even close -- no hanging chads, no recounts. Now all we need is no hurricane!
