GO FSU!

Is ESPN out of control or what? How about a new ESPN affiliate: ESPNADD.

Question No. 2: Did Kirk Herbstreit & Lou Holtz scrimp and buy the same bottle of hair color?

I think the best part of the game was any rear shot of Kyle Wright. Wow...that's a nice a$$ on a white boy. And it was even better with my new HDTV. biggrin.gif

Forgive me for showing my age but it is still wierd to not only see this as an ACC game but the first official one of the year. Can't help but believe that the desire to milk it for what it's worth was a strong motivation all around for keeping it as an early game instead of risking having the two show up at the end or middle of season with two or more losses and no chance of being #1. Unfortunately it made it a boring defensive tussle with both teams being cautious, as one writer said. Hoping for better.

What a boring a$$ game that was. I wouldn't exactly heap credit on the two teams defenses quite yet. Both teams are severely lacking in offensive talent, execution and discipline. Fumbled snaps, dropped balls, interceptions, lack of blocking along the offensive lines...not to mention both teams have the worst QB's and RB's that they have had in probably the past 20 years.

When either of these teams play a team with any kind of offensive talent, their defenses will be exposed. I doubt either team finishes with less than 3 losses this year. Just like in the bowl game last year for Miami...LSU hung 40 points and 272 yards rushing on them. This is the same LSU team that only managed 72 yards rushing in the SEC championship game against Goergia. The same Georgia team that gave up 382 yards rushing against (GASP!) West Virginia.

Draw your own conclusions, but IMO neither of these teams are top 15 teams mainly because their offenses are pathetic.

The ACC is full of mediocre talented teams that will not boast a single team in the top 10 at the end of the year.

ESPN would have been better suited 360'ing/showcasing a live Dog show instead of two offensively challenged football teams last night that set college fotoball back 5 decades.

Bowden is clueless on offense. The game's paassed him by. There is no doubt he uses his best players on defense now. Also, if there was any doubt that Coker's first and second year at the helm at Miami ( during their national championship runs) and those offenses were product the former regime's recruiting of players and their coaching has been answered.

If Miami and Florida State were two great magicaldefenses squaring off, maybe we should assess Temple and Bufflo's epic low scoring match from last Thursday night as "great" defenses.

Anyone that is calling this "good" last night by referencing great defense is playing damage control.

Offensive football was set back 5 decades after last night's display.
Anyone who makes this statement did not witness Buffalo/Temple Thursday night......

Okay, I edited my original post. I used to feel so negative for trashing FSU and Miami and so I was trying to find the positive in that [yawn] game. Now that y'all are seeing FSU and Miami as the very average and struggling teams they are, I feel vindicated. For the past (fill in the blank) seasons, it's been the most boring game of the season - despite the media's screeching.

I agree, neither is a top 15 team at this moment.

Smooch & slurp,
