Hey all,
Anyone interested in making a deal to only list teams in his top 12 poll, he's actually seen play their games (in person or on tv)?
I'd like to see a really honest poll for a change, not one based on myth/media hype/legend. Not that I don't look at the other polls, but I don't believe for a moment even half of the voters in the AP or USA Today polls have actually watched the past weekend's games. For instance, the two most popular polls have ND at 5th and Georgia Tech at 29th and 40th respectively. That wasn't the game I saw. Also, Tennessee was awesome; yet they didn't even crack the top 10 on either poll. Meantime, Oklahoma is 10/15 in the polls - huh? You get the point.
My honest poll (with admitted prejudice to Oregon) based on the teams I saw play:
1. Texas
2. Tennessee
3. USC
4. Auburn
5. Ohio St.
6. Notre Dame
7. West Virgina
8. Oregon
9. LSU
10. Louisville
11. Michigan
12. Iowa
Mountain guy - are you going to do a weekly compilation? That would be great - given the fact that the so-called outsports experts don't seem to be anywhere near the mark (and I've been following them for 3 seasons).
(If you ever get to SF, let's have a drink!)
