Compared to my rankings last week, Notre Dame falls a few ranks. Michigan gets dropped out of top 12. Florida State makes my top 12.

Week 2
1. West Virginia
1. (tie) USC
3. Ohio State
4. LSU
5. Auburn
6. Texas
7. Louisville
8. Tennessee
9. Iowa
10. Oregon
11. Clemson
12. Georgia

Dropping Notre Dame. They may be top 25, but they are not a top 10 team. I think Tennessee has potential to be better than the gaytors. Ohio State...I'm still not sold on them. I think USC is better than them to be honest. Texas played a pu$$y team and waxed them and I will not be a believer unless they beat O$U. Oregon may be the team to beat in the PAC-10. I said in my previous top 12 that Cal did not deserve to be there and Oregon could be the #2 in the Pac-10...I might have been right all along.

No really big changes from week 1 except dropping Notre Dame and what I believe might very well be an overrated Florida team and adding Oregon and Tennessee...moved USC to #1 and dropped O$U to 3. I really don't think Ohio State will go undefeated but I'll hang with them doing it for now. They can beat Texas. F$U and Miami are a joke. Neither are top 15 teams.

Hey all,

Anyone interested in making a deal to only list teams in his top 12 poll, he's actually seen play their games (in person or on tv)?

I'd like to see a really honest poll for a change, not one based on myth/media hype/legend. Not that I don't look at the other polls, but I don't believe for a moment even half of the voters in the AP or USA Today polls have actually watched the past weekend's games. For instance, the two most popular polls have ND at 5th and Georgia Tech at 29th and 40th respectively. That wasn't the game I saw. Also, Tennessee was awesome; yet they didn't even crack the top 10 on either poll. Meantime, Oklahoma is 10/15 in the polls - huh? You get the point.

My honest poll (with admitted prejudice to Oregon) based on the teams I saw play:

1. Texas
2. Tennessee
3. USC
4. Auburn
5. Ohio St.
6. Notre Dame
7. West Virgina
8. Oregon
9. LSU
10. Louisville
11. Michigan
12. Iowa

Mountain guy - are you going to do a weekly compilation? That would be great - given the fact that the so-called outsports experts don't seem to be anywhere near the mark (and I've been following them for 3 seasons).

(If you ever get to SF, let's have a drink!)

blueraider, I could kiss you!

Actually, I believe that are many excellent teams this year so I'm going to have to wait a couple of weeks b4 giving my top 12. I believe that's good for college football...We still need a damn playoff system, however!

Fight On!

I hate typos!
