That's what Pat Burrell said when signing his 6-year, $50 million contract extension with the Phils today--a deal which includes a no-trade clause as well.
A long-term deal and no-trade clause? In so many ways, Burrell is the anti-Rolen!

As much as I hate to agree, I have to. Now that the AOL Braves have thrown away their bullpen.

This is great news for the Phillies. Locking up Burrell (who is still getting better and better ... as well as hotter and hotter) was another smart move for a team that's been making plenty of them.
BUT ... don't be fooled about the no-trade clause. Those are not included in contracts as a display of loyalty. They are about control and getting a cut of the action in the event the team later decides to trade the guy. Sorry to take a little bit of the romance out of what is, on the whole, great news for the Phillies and Brave-haters.

The three letter word for Burrell is not S-I-X but S-E-X.
Sports is largely dependent on entertainment and the sexy Burrell sells the Phillies in addition to his performance.

And today in the mail I received my tickets for the last regular-season game at the Vet! It made up for all that crappy snow and the fact that I had to go to work anyway.
