They just traded Andre Miller to the Clippers for Darius Miles. The West has just got a lot tougher and East well no change. This deal definetely makes the Clips contenders. Two Allstars, Miller and Brand will help them challenge for maybe even the 4th seed in West.

And I thought the Bibby for JWill was lopsided. How do you allow a guy who is always a threat for a double double go like that? I agree, the Clips are much better than Seattle, The Wolves and Utah right now-- at least on paper. Cleveland has a lot of athletic youth which makes them the Clipplers of three years ago. Nice.

I didnt say the Clips were much better than Seattle. Its too early for this but if I was gonna pick the 8 in the West I'd go
#1 Sac
#2 Dallas
#3 Lakers
#4 Sonics
#5 Clips
#6 SA
#7 Minn
#8 Port

It may be too early for making predictions, but it obviously isn't too early for you to be smokin' crack!!! LOL!!!! The Spurs finished with the second best record in the league last year and didn't lose a single player from that team. I agree the Clips will be better, but we have heard this song before about the Clips. #6 is about as good as they will be. Andre Miller does not make them better than Spurs or TWolves. And the Sonics may find themselves the Clips biggest victim as they watch their probable #8 seed turn into a lottery pick!

Andre Miller is 2nd best point guard in the league to GP, he will be with Brand who will most certainly be an allstar this year, this will be one of the most effective combos since Malone/Stockton. The Spurs havent changed why is exactly they will fall they are OLD and rely on Duncan too much. Garnett I know is not happy playing with Mr. Ball Hog and Minnesota let Chauncy Billups go to Detroit and Brandon is always getting injured. Plus Garnett is still not leadership material for a team with already bad chemistry. The Clips also have a great supporting cast, Olowokandi, McInnis, Odom, Quentin, Maggette and Piatkowski.

I love Darius Miles, but the Clips got the better of the trade. The key to the Clips IMO is Lamar Odom. If he could just put the package together he could be an All Star Grant Hill-type player.

Yeah, San Antonio is in trouble if they can't get an athletic two guard to come in. Robinson is done, Porter has already retired and Steve Smith should. As for Seattle, they are good enough to win games against most teams in the league but seeding wise I can't see them higher than 7. They just don't have the physical presence to keep up with the West which is deep at the 4. GP is all-world but the rest of his help is incosistent. The Clippers have depth and a lot of talent, much like Portland. They won't win it all next year but more than Seattle, a crippled Wolves and predictable Jazz.

You forget that a major reason for that was the Sonics were forced to play Baker a lot last year so that he would still be tradeable. The Sonics do have size with Booth, Radmanovic, James, Potopenko, and Long. Center by committee. This could also now be Rashard's break out year, the Sonic's are now just as young the Clippers now and have experience playing together, Rad, Lewis, Mason and James should all show dramatic improvement, I cant stress enough, the 19-8 record last year with Baker out injured. And Sesay has shown a lot of promise also, The NBDL's MVP player.

If you ask me, Da Kid. , I think that the same thing that happened to Portland a few years ago will happen to The Clips. Too much talent, and not knowing how to utilize it all. We all know what's going to happen hear. The Clips are gonna have all this talent and will win games during the first half of the season. Then when the All-Star breaks comes around they will fade into the sunset and not know how to be a champion and finish the season off. They may slip into the #7 or #8 seed and be ousted in the first round. Then shortly after next year's draft they will let every team in the league pick their players from them like good, ripe fruit from a tree.
All this nonsense about the Clips being contenders is crap. Once they prove that they will make a committment to keeping their players then maybe we can seriously talk about them being contenders in the west.
Da Kid.

I disagree, Portland is an idiotic franchise run by the same organization and ownership that runs the Seahawks. To be a Blazer you need to fill some of these requirement A) been to jail

had many kids by different women C) do some type of illegal drug D) have an ego bigger than the state of Alaska E) get technical fouls and foul out of games on a regular basis. Brand and Miller do not seem to meet these requirement, these two are a definite foundation to build upon. Yes the Clips havent been very commited to some of their players in the past, but they havent had this much proven talent in two players to bank on before either.

Well the Clips let McInnis go to guess who? The Blazers. The Blazers now have McInnis, mighty mouse and Antonio Daniels all in their happy family.
