Did anyone see the goings-on at the Fleet Center last night? Somebody apparently dropped a cannister with some unknown substance in the seats behind the Celtics bench between the 3rd and 4th quarters, causing people to cough and develop scratchy throats and watery eyes. Its believed to have been mace or pepper spray. Expect it to take even longer to get into a sporting event now.

Amazing. I heard about this and had flashbacks to the Eagles-Redskins Monday night game where the pepper spray from the security in the stands got onto the Eagles' sideline. This is clearly a worse scenario. I wonder if they'll be charged with terrorist crimes even if it was a prank?

Of course you know I was watching the game and saw what was going on, seeing as how I am the biggest Celtics fan ever. It was probably a 76ers or Nets fan.

I suspect that those gaseous fumes were coming from the Clippers’ bench. They stink!
So much for home-court security. Don't they still check people entering sporting events in the U.S., especially when the country is under "Code Orange." I guess they will now. Did they ever catch the guy(s) who did this?
As to the security at Fleet, my brother is a security guard there and all I can say is he's a nerdy thick-eyeglassed 90-lb. weakling.

Nope. There was mention of a security tape that showed "four men" leaving the arena shortly after the incident, but nothing further.
