Who will benefit most from this trade, will it be GP getting the Bucks to the finals this year or Ray Allen getting the Sonics back to 60 wins a year a couple years down the road?

The Sonics seem to be playing with the same intensity they were at the start of the season. Ray Allen just got a standing ovation standing at mid-court with the ball after the Sonics dominated the Pistons tonight. Maybe all this friction between GP and management was a drain on the team. The Bucks lost to the T-Wolves tonight. Last night it was the Bucks over Portland, won by a GP three, and the Lakers in a close one over the Sonics.
On the news this was Brent's interpretation of the situation...
"You know it's like a new girlfriend after a long relationship. Everyone in the family is gonna be hard on her and it'll be a little uncomfortable at first so we just need to get through that initial stage... i'm not saying ray's a girl, but... well actually i can't confirm that yet."

that was a funny quote by Barry but I think its' best for Seattle and the front office. There seem to this thing that GP would be traded and that he wasn't happy in Seattle and so now hopefully everyone is happy and at all.
I totally love Ray Allen as he is going to be a great help to Seattle. I cant wait to see him in uniform.

The Barry Boys are hilarious. Really good guys and cute in their own, unqiue way.
Hands down the short term helps Milwaukee more but if GP bolts after the end of the season, they're screwed. As for Seattle, they still need a bruising big man who wants to rebound from all of those missed jumpers.

I think the BUCKS got the better deal, for the season! I think Seattle got the better deal in the long run! I wouldn't be surprised to see a LAKER vs BUCKS NBA Final!

Ray Allen and the Sonics lead the Lakers and queen of daytime talk shows by 22 points! at the start of the 4th!
Allen with a triple double!
Since the trade 3 complete blow outs over the Bucks, Hawks and Lakers. 1 game pretty much totally controlled over the Pistons through the whole game, and one loss that came down to the last minute vs. the Lakers.
I am in total shock and amazed at how this team is playing and coming together since this trade. Ray Allen may be pretty close to becoming one of the elite players in the NBA. And Kevin Ollie is turning out to be quite an excellent Point Guard.
Allen 29 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assist
Last two games Sonics with 5 players in double figures.
Another strange twist to this story is a fight at Olympic games in Sydney that I'm just hearing about now between Ray Allen and GP during a scrimmage game. Supposedely Ray Allen and JKidd's team was blowing out GP's team in the scrimmage, Ray Allen had a slam dunk and GP pushed him into a concrete wall, then they had to be broken up.
Tonight GP and the Bucks lose to the Pacers and I see that GP was taking some swings at Tinsley in the highlights.

I Love Ray Allen. I hope the Sonics can have some type of serious run and sneak into a playoffs. Beating out Golden State and Phoenix is possible. The Suns hold the 8th spot right now.

45 wins should be good enough for the 8th seed, that means the Sonics would have to finish out the remainder of the season 18-6, which is very do-able the way theyve been playing. They are only 3 back of Phoenix right now. If they get the 8th seed that would most likely mean a 1st round match-up with Dallas who the Sonics match up well with, so I definetely see them getting past the 1st round of the playoffs.
I'm glad to see DMase got 31 minutes playing time and was starting tonight for the Bucks.
Western Conference player of the week , Ray Allen
