How fair is this world where a nice guy like Grant Hill can't overcome chronic injuries that have ruined his career while a douche bag like Rasheed Wallace continues to make an ass of himself. He's been suspended (or should we change the word to suspendeed in honor of the King of Suspensions) for a whopping 7 games for confronting a ref in the parking lot after Wednesday night's VICTORY over Memphis. He was apparently pissed he was called for a technical foul. I admit, I didn't see the call so i have no idea whether it was a legit technical or not. But that is so far from the point. He's got to know he absolutely cannot approach a ref AFTER THE GAME IN THE PARKING LOT!
Way to have your priorities in order Rash! Your team is in the thick of things out west and fighting for home court in the first round of the playoffs and you get yourself suspended for 7 games over a perceived bad call in a game you won! I'm so glad I'm not a Portland fan or else I'd have to find a new team to root for.
My favorite quote from the ESPN Article is from enabling coach Maurice Cheeks.
"It's absolutely not fair,'' Blazers coach Maurice Cheeks said prior to his team's game against the Minnesota Timberwolves. "I certainly don't believe he deserved seven games. I think this is a result of Rasheed's reputation and the Portland Trail Blazers' reputation.''
Earth to Mo: Guess what? If he did what he's been accused of, 7 games isn't close to being enough. Stop coddling this jackass and try making him take a wee bit of personal responsibility.
