Sonics have looked a lot better the last couple games but I'm still not happy with how theyre playing, more like the Sonics of old where they live and die off the 3 pointer. I miss Mac10's style of coaching, though they have shown glimpses that they can still play some defense inside, it hasnt been consistant. Jerome James comes back to town tommorow.

The Sonics have been looking a lot better but the recent smack around from Sacramento doesn't help to much. I hope we continue to win and get more consistent play.

I like how Weiss pulled all the starters out 5 minutes into the 3rd, although it may have cost them the game, think it made a statement, I just sense that the team is not giving him the same respect that Nate got. Even though Fortson is an important part to the team its no excuse to not play any defense and get romped all over.

David Stern says Seattle is
not interested in the NBA. QUOTE
David Stern gave another warning that the SuperSonics could eventually leave Seattle, saying Thursday that the city is, \"not interested in having the NBA there.\"
The NBA commissioner also touched on the situations regarding the Trail Blazers and Hornets during a conference call, but his strongest words were saved for the Sonics' future in Seattle.

That article really angers me. It's the league trying to shake down tax payers again. We're living at a time when social services are being hacked, but cities and states are supposed to come up with tax packages to fund sports stadiums and enrich the private owners of these teams.
I love sports, but this fleecing of the taxpayer infuriates me. The threats that leagues and teams constantly aim at governments that are having trouble paying for schools and streets is ridiculous. Here in Tucson, our county supervisors imposed a motel and car rental tax to finance Tucson Electric Park, the spring training home of the D'backs and White Sox and the home of the AAA Tucson Sidewinders. The tax was supposed to pay for the park. Think it did? Nope. The county has sold off our public hospital, doesn't have roads for the unchecked development in the area and can't afford social programs, but it can finance a ballpark. I'm so tired of this crap. Stern needs to wake up and realize that there are more pressing social needs than basketball arenas. Let the owners finance their own stadiums and renovations. They're not hurting for cash.

After tax money going for Seahawk Stadium and Safeco Field, people dont want anymore, unless maybe the Sonics won 60 games this year, winning is always a good selling point. Hope something can be worked out, keyarena in my opinion is the best arena in the NBA, the deal the Sonics have with the city though, and lack of luxury suites though, make it so that they lose money there. I guess I will just start flying to KC to watch the Sonics. And now get on your feet for your KANSAS CITY SUUUUUUUUUUUUPER SONICS!
