Here's my lineup:
Baron Davis
Tracy McGrady
Dirk Nowitzki
Chris Webber
Brendan Haywood
Isiah Thomas
Luckily, Yao Ming didn't bring me down too far. But I think I heard this morning that Baron Davis may be injured, but there's no asterisk by his name. I hope he plays.

Baron Davis update. Sorry guys. [quote]On Sunday against the Boston Celtics, Davis missed the first game in his career, ending a streak of 262 consecutive games played.
...
Davis said he likely will miss the Hornets' next four games so he go can through full-scale rehabilitation work to strengthen his back.

Anywhoooooo...
WK 6 looks like this for me
Kobe
Shaq
Artest
Armstrong
Webber
We'll see where that gets me!

I had no idea about Baron Davis' injury either....sorry to hear about your bad luck (honest) -- I nearly chose him over Nash myself but went with Stevie due to his far superior free throw percentage and VGM average points YTD -- but someone has GOT to get that boy to a barber PLEASE....Nash is nearly destroying his incredible looks with that 60s haircut he's got going -- is it something about the Canadian boys that makes em rebelious like that (any help in that category canmark or does that only apply to British Columbia, where I believe Nash hails from, and not Quebec?)....in either event, as long as he puts up impressive stats this week (as he did Monday night with 34 VGM points ) I'll overlook his grooming deficiencies.
As for my lineup this week I'm going with:
NASH
T-MAC
NOWITZKI
B. GRANT
J. O'NEAL
Coach F. JOHNSON
Not a bad start to week 6 for the Fightin' Gamecocks either with all 5 starters in action Monday night totalling 128 points....after all, somebody's got to keep Mark from running away with the league championship ...GO COCKS!!

I'm screwed again this week, and not the way I want to be. I also chose Baron Davis. You know its bad when sucking ducks are ahead of you in the standings, but I always fall behind early and come on strong towards the end.

That's the way it should ALWAYS be. Ducks on top, GP on bottom. Maybe this is the break I was looking for. Time for my Ducks to suck their way up the rankings...uh...you know what I mean.

Sorry for ya'll who picked Baron....but I think you all are still ahead of me...so I am not that sorry!
I hope Shaq, Kobe and Webber can get me about 100 points tonight!

Indeed, Baron Davis returned to the lineup last night to help torch my beloved bumbling Raptors in the Big Easy.
T-Mac is on the shelf and I'm in a quandry over whether to select him for next week or not. The pickings are slim in the SG category after T-Mac (4 games), Kobe, AI and Finley (3 games).
gamecock, I agree that Nash was a cutie in college and his early NBA days with a neat short haircut. Now he seems to have adopted 'hockey hair,' which seems totally unsuitable for the Dallas climate. You were ahead of me one day this week, but thanks to McGrady's absense the Canadians still top the 'cocks.

well, mark, the Canadians may be on top of the 'Cocks but soon the roles will be reversed ....T-Mac sitting out last night did cost me his usual 25-30 minimum VGM points but ESPN states he is expected to play in their next game Friday night....don't start believing you've got the "league title" locked up yet -- after all, it's a long season....besides, we don't want to have the customs agents at the border block your upcoming trip to the Big Apple ....but after getting hit with 10 inches of snow today here in Maryland, I think I'll put off my next trip to the "Great White North" until Spring.
GO COCKS!!

Everytime I try to make a move up to the 1 or 2 something happens to mees things up. This week it was Baron Davis and T-Mac. Next week it's T-Mac again because I don't know who to start at SG and all the other good SGs only have 2 or 3 games. DAMMIT!!! But never to fear, it's a long season and we'll see where the cards lay in April and May.

This is the week that the Canadians will fall. Here is the Canadian line-up
Kidd, probably only worth about 15 vgm points a night
Piatkowski,
Paul Pierce, Vin Baker will trip and fall on him injuring him
Elton Brand, Ben Wallace and Byron Scott

Here's my line-up:
Dujuan Wagner
T-Mac
The Truth
E-Brand (God, I love that nickname, my friends have been calling me that since he got drafted)
Zyndrunas Ilgauskas
Jim O'Brien
Hopefully I will gain some ground on the top three this week. I'm sick of this 4th spot that I seem to own.

I don't know if anybody else has looked at the weekly schedule for next week, but it's a BIG week in the NBA, with 2/3 of the league with 4 games. A lot of GOOD players all play 4 games, so that means that there'll be som tough choices. It also means that you run less of a chance of having others with the exact same roster as you , which means that many in the bottom of the rankings could select the right roster and move up. Good luck on choosing next week's rosters.

Gamecock: I am surprised that you picked Lewis, considering his lousy numbers as of late, in the Indy game he was only 2 of 14, maybe you figured he's do to come out of his slump? But anyhow sorry to report that he will be suspended for Tuesday's game vs. the Knicks because of a fight with Best in the Miami game. This could mean better numbers for Radmanovic who I picked at SF.

[QUOTE]
GP, I did notice that Lewis went 2 for 14 in a recent game but I picked him up anyway because I thought he was due for a "hot streak" (that was his only bad game in quite a while after coming off a shooting spree early in the year) and I was also limited in remaining "cap space" (makes me feel like a real GM saying that -- like I'm Theo Epstein or something ) since I definitely wanted to include Kidd, Brand, and Wallace in this week's lineup.
BUT I didn't know about his suspension for Tuesday's game -- #@*&! ....you gotta tell your local SuuuuperSonics the next time you see em around town, gp, to quit getting in so many fights and being suspended....from the way things are lookin between McGrady's one game injury last week and now this, none of us will catch canmark....geez, he's got almost a 200 point lead and we haven't even reached week 8 yet
As our league founder and "commissioner", gp, perhaps you need to consider imposing a LOWER salary cap on the Canadians (like 65 or 70 points, for example) in order to retain some competitive balance in the league ....or how about some sort of "revenue sharing" where Mark has to share his enormous earnings with the rest of the teams in the league -- not unlike Steinbrenner's situation in NYC, except canmark has an ENTIRE COUNTRY on his side while the rest of us have to share the "lower 48"....oh well, it's just a thought.

My team did pretty good today, unlike the real slacker sonics! But Radmanovic had 18 vgm points, I'm happy with that. What I can do now is move to Alaska, while canmark's attention is focused on the lower 48, I will get my troops together and attack from the north, then I will own all of Canada and the lower 48, hahahahahaha

sorry Gamecock, I want Lewis to do well more than anyone, I hope he can get out of this and start producing again, but my Radmanovic pick is really paying off for me, his value was much lower than Lewis and he got 20 vgm points today vs. 14 for Lewis who was 2 of 10 from the field, his 8 of 8 from the free throw line saved you. I'm thinking of trading my #7 Lewis jersey in for the #77 Radmanovic.
