This link from "Barstool Sports" was in my email this morning. I figured a few people here would get a chuckle or two from it. Enjoy!

So no team represents Homer Simpson? Or is he reserved for the Commissioner's Office (Bud Selig) biggrin.gif ?

Very clever. I would never have equated Marge with the Astros but do see something of Disco Stu in my Dodgers and (of course) the Yankees are C. Montgomery Burns. I particularly liked the the reasons behind the Twins being Santa's Little Helper.

Very funny stuff! My favs are the Yankees-Monty Burns, Twins-Santa's Little Helper, Devil Rays-Hans Moleman, Braves-Ned Flanders, Nationals-Sideshow Bob, Reds-Seymour Skinner and Diamondbacks-Inatimate Carbon Rod.

But these lines were the one sthat just cracked me up:

Re: The Indians:
Jovial ongoing relationship with a big fat guy who underperforms a lot (Homer, C.C. Sabathia).

Re: The Mets:
Ongoing love-hate relationship with their audiences, and they have a tendency to lend their names to bad products (Krusty Brand Non-Narkotik Kough Syrup, Jose Offerman).

Re: The Reds:
Principal Seymour Skinner - Spent much of their existence under the hand of a domineering, insane woman who was impossible to please (Agnes Skinner, Marge Schott).

It is a funny article. HOWEVER, a red flag (so to speak) came up regarding the writer, Dan McCarthy and his little comments like a certain Massachusetts red team being "beloved by all" and the Yankees being "seemingly unaware of the (obvious) reasons why they are hated". Barstool Sports and Mr. McCarthy are nothing but promoters of certain sports teams based in the Massachusetts area. While his article was indeed funny, I can smell obvious red scum bias a thousand miles away.
