Ok guys...lets face it...our group as an entity is obviously much better than 90% of the ESPN,NBA.com, Sporting news crowd.

Total hats off tho to PP...he PERSONALLY is ranked at 99.7...which means outta 2 million participants, his Virtual GM score to date is in the top 600!

Now PP, if ya aren't gonna take pity on your sista's here...then go win a trip! And take your fellow Pacer fan with ya! biggrin.gif

Congrats from your subtile, not so secret admirer eek!
Theo
Oh man, I need to put my boots on! Everyone here knows I'm PP's favorite and that I get to go on the trip.

Way to go, PP!
Celtics4Life
I don't actually know what PP looks like, but from the response I guess he's gotta be a looker. I'd like to see a pic. Congrats anyway!! You represent the league well, but don't get too confortable. We all rememeber last year. Just when you think you're running a way with the league someone can creep up on you, it's a long season.

Da Kid. tongue.gif
stinger85
I'm having fun in the league too. After the first couple weeks I thought I'd never catch up, but I feel much better after a strong week 4. I can never manage to end the week above Theo though, it seems like every time I check he's right above me.

PP is quite impressive. Keep up the good work!

WOW!!!!

Thanks for the compliments! I just arrived back to Orlando from Indiana....a 16 hour drive. The first thing I did was to look at my VGM score and the second was to come on here!

I hope I can keep the representing well! You all have now put me under pressure.

Thanks....and if I do win a trip or something, I am sorry to say I will have to take my lover. However, if he can't go.....we will see!

Take Care! XOXO
Theo
Stinger, I thought you enjoyed being under me. wink

Maybe from time to time, but would it have hurt you to take me with you when you leap frogged to #5? I shall slip down to #9 at this evening as BballDC should easily get the 4 points needed to pass me by. I was hoping Parker was finally gonna catch fire...hopefully he does something a little more in his other 2 games this week.
stinger85
Wow, Theo has been quite impressive in weeks 5 and 6. Hopefully the trend continues as I have almost the same group of guys as him.
canmark
PacerPride had indeed been impressive, and continues to nurse a 176 point lead on our league (and 99.5% overall).

Only 38 points separate 2nd (me!), 3rd ('cocks) and 4th (meat).

And by having the high score in the past 2 weeks, Theo moves up to the 5th spot.

This week there are a lot of similar lineups... but next week may be a wild one as 21 teams have 4 games.

I am sucking.....the pressure got to me! HA! Call me Jermaine a couple of years back trying to hit the winning FT's!

Anyways....I was changing my line up last night, and I must not have got in on time!

We will see what happens. It isn't the line up I really wanted, but we will see what happens!

I had Ginobilli all last week and he did poor, tonight he gets like 33 vgm points...go figure!

For my first night I am down about 18 average vgm points, if not more! That sucks!

We will see what happens!

Good Luck!
Theo
Weird week next week with only 4 teams playing 4 games and no real power players from which to pick. frown
dznerick
This is a wierd week.....I STRESSED over this one!

I just finished my line up....and I am not even for sure who I put on it....I changed so many times!

I know I have Brad Miller and Randolf...I can't remember the rest...

I worked over two hours on it...I NEED A LIFE! HA smile.gif frown
la_meatman
I'm rollin the dice big time...trying to make up some ground this week!

Go Jamaal Crawford and Mike Miller!
gamecock
I managed to surpass the "magical" 500 point threshold and have the most points last week but still barely gained any ground on PacerPride and the Canadians and remain in 3rd place....sorry, LaMeatman, I don't think you'll pass me this week tongue.gif -- especially since I've got Crawford and Miller in my lineup, too....I'm pretty confident with my starting five, though, of Crawford, McGrady, Garnett, Randolph and Miller....it's time for the Fightin' Gamecocks to start making up some ground and closing the gap on our leader before he goes wire-to-wire smile.gif
la_meatman
I gambled with Mike Miller, already have Brad Miller lol...too bad Reggie wasn't two years younger...I could have really made it "Miller Time" this week.

Reggie Miller
Mike Miller
Brad Miller
Oliver Miller
Chris Mills (since I have to have 5)

Happy Holidays all

YO TMAC BOYS...get off my arse in Fantasy League! lol

We have the same line up....it hasn't started out too good though! I thought McGrady was starting to break out....but a piddly 16 pnt night against the Wizards...and Crawford tonight...very sucky, a big fat ZERO!
dznerick
How did everyone's picks go this week?

I had some problems on deciding who would do better...but after a few hours...I have come to a conclusion!

Good Luck....My lead seems to diminish each week!

We will see what unfolds!
Theo
I had a marginal week last week. I guess Stinger decided he was tired of being on the bottom and wanted to be a top, so he turned me over and spanked my ass last night and took a double digit lead.

I was like "hell yea" I'll make up some ground this week!...Then looked at the frontrunners to see they picked nearly the same players, so after having Mike Miller lay gooseggs last week...this week I'm praying for:

Ricky Davis!
Theo
No one warned me of Mike Miller laying goose eggs. Well, he laid another one last night and got me all of -3 points. frown

Well Theo, at least he's pretty to look at on the roster!

Better Luck in Fantasy this week too!
stinger85
I wasn't sure how well I was gonna do over the holiday break cuz I was home visiting family and didn't have much access to a computer. But I did fairly well. Fifth is the highest I've been all year, and considering how I started the year I feel pretty good. My goal is to get caught between Meatman and the Gamecocks by midseason!! Sounds like a nice resolution to make. smile.gif
dznerick
I have a question.....I had Elton Brand on my team last week....the game on the 4th against the Fakers....it had him with a VGM of 59....however, the way I figure it, it should only be 40 some points...am I missing something?

Good Luck this week!
RCKSoniK
Maybe he was player of the week, I believe that is 15 bonus points. I'm watching a hell of a game here. Sonics were down by 23 in the 3rd, down by 18 at start of 4th. now in overtime Sonics with and 8 point lead. Ray Allen with 40 points. Now a 10 POINT LEAD! Ray Allen with 42! Blazers will be 86-ed! All time Sonic-Blazer series tied at 86. Learning how to protect the home court!

Sonics win 119-108!
Sonics lead all time series 87-86
Ray Allen with 42 points and 42 vgm points.
Sonics finally now with a winning home record, last 2 over Lakers and Blazers, Kings are next.

That's great news, Sonix -- particularly since I have Ray Allen in my starting lineup this week. smile.gif

I almost put Allen in my line up...but his two bad games scared me off!

I think it may come back to haunt me!

With the lead that you've been maintaining over Mark's Canadians and my Fightin' Gamecocks all season long, I don't think you've got to worry about relinquishing your hold on first place anytime soon....one thing I can guarantee, though, is that the margin between 2nd and 3rd place definitely won't change this week since the Canadians and I have IDENTICAL lineups (A. Miller, R. Allen, D. Nowitzki, Z. Randolph and J. O'Neal) -- and that even includes Popovich as the coach. rolleyes.gif
la_meatman
I spaced out setting my line-up this week!

Not sure what caused it, Might have been Overdosing on the cha-cha reports of World idol, in a semi-erotic state over Peytons Masterful Sunday, or that for another week, ABC makes me miss "The Practice"

Probably a combination of above lol
RCKSoniK
Portland's weather is screwing everything up for me this week! I have Gasol and Wallace in my line-up they had to cancel last nights Grizz vs. Blazer game because of weather, now the Grizzlies cant get out of Portland so tonights Grizzly vs. Jazz game is cancelled and the Blazers have a couple more home games this week.

Yeah...it screwed me up some too...But it won't really hurt me since the top three all have Randolf.
dznerick
Well...I sucked this past week. Damn Nash and Redd...they ruined me!

I think I have a good line up next week! We will see! Good Luck! smile.gif
stinger85
I had Nash and Redd as well, but I'm still within striking distance of 4th. Not bad considering my first 2 weeks.
RCKSoniK
F*ck! I forgot to change my line-up, I'm 25 minutes late! And after this last week where Gasol had 2 games cancelled and Wallace had 1 cancelled, well I should get the award for dumb pick of the year anyway for choosing Wallace, but I think you can pretty much count me out of the race for the 1st half championship. 2nd half though I will win.
stinger85
Our top 3 are pretty impressive. My goal is to get into the 90th percentile this week and hopefully claim a spot between the Meatman and the Gamecock!! Then I can begin to shoot for the top 3 and make my run.

Since it will become obvious in the point production of my Fightin' Gamecocks this week I hate to admit that I didn't submit my weekly lineup in time either ohmy.gif (for the first time in two years)....I usually do it on Sunday afternoons but I was so preoccupied watching the playoff games yesterday, got 3 lengthy phone calls (which were all a pleasant surprise, even if they were a rarity for a Sunday night), fell asleep in my living room and when I woke up at 4AM ET (with the tv still on, I might add) the first thing I thought of was I had missed the deadline by 1 hour. sad.gif

Oh well, at least this "oversight" will give the rest of the teams a chance to gain some ground (if not pass the 'Cocks into 3rd place altogether) -- and no doubt PacerPride and the Canadians will be able to widen their leads....but be forewarned, I still intend on winning the 2nd Half Title following the all-star game next month (and NOT procrastinate in submitting my weekly lineup ever again, either). rolleyes.gif
stinger85
Actually Gamecocks you'll probably be okay this week with the Canadians, the Meatman, and myself all taking Kobe. He's likely out the rest of the week so that should even things up a bit. At least Meatman has Kobe so I can still try to gain on him.

It looks like my hold on 3rd place, at least, should be secure (since my lead on Meatman is now over 200 points smile.gif ) and, as luck would have it, my lineup last week (which automatically rolled over to this week after I didn't get my changes submitted in time ohmy.gif ) doesn't look too bad after all with three starters playing four games again and the other two (Ray Allen and Jermaine O'Neal) playing three games each....this week may be proof that sometimes even dumb moves work out well. rolleyes.gif

Seems like I'm destined for 3rd eek! My sleepers did well, but with Kobe injured and Paul Piercing sticking up the joint, lucky to stay competive this week.

Next week should be interesting, with all the superstars in action.
dznerick
Well....Wallace screwed me this week...HAHA..I wish!!!

Anyways....

I am torn for next week....I am going to have 4 players who have been very hot this season and one who has been hot for the past few games...that is if I don't change it for the 100th time before tomorrow's end.

We will see what happens!!! Good Luck!!!
dznerick
Well....I changed my line up since the previous post!

If they all get thier averages I should get about 525 next week......

Good Luck!
RCKSoniK
Sacramento heavy line-up, Mike Bibby, Ray Allen, Predrag Stojakovic, Tim Duncan, Vlade Divac, Nate McMillan.

My Sonics are pissing me off, this isnt amusing anymore, I definetely cant understand this, beating the Lakers, Kings and Rockets, then losing to the Cavs, Knicks and Wizards.
MagicFan
Oh my God! I actually won a week. It only took me 12 weeks to do so smile.gif

It took me about four weeks to understand the game, but maybe now I can get out of the cellar. Even if I can't get out of last place in GM, I am still feeling pretty good about second place in the Yahoo League. biggrin.gif T-Mac's Boy is taking it all the way to number one, even if my real NBA team is a million games out and have only won 10 games this year, although they are beating the Bucks right now with 24.0 Seconds left. I love daytime basketball!

Happy New Year to Everyone!

Woohoo!! 4th place...watch out gamecocks...maybe in a couple weeks I guess...there's quite a buffer between the top 3 and the rest of the pack!!

Not so fast, stinger biggrin.gif ....my Fightin' Gamecocks have finally gotten on a roll these past couple of weeks and I've even managed to sneak past canmark's Canadians into 2nd place (again) -- hopefully I'll widen my lead this time instead of losing it, though rolleyes.gif ....then again, every time I think I'm gonna have a great week my players seem to have their worst games of the season so you may overtake me yet.

I'm just waiting for PacerPride to have a mediocre week (for ONCE) so the rest of us at least have a chance of preventing him from running away with the championship. tongue.gif

Oops, I got so excited I didn't even look to see who was on top of me!! A habit I definitely need to break!! biggrin.gif
dznerick
Gamecock....thanks a lot!!! biggrin.gif

I am kicking myself right now about not going with my lineup I had with Ostertag in it this week!

I think this week may be a medicore week for me!

About next week...I have my line up picked already, and I am going to try not to change it, barring no injury reports. Next week could make or break any of us! A lot of great players with 4 games....it is hard to decide with ones to go with. SG is the only easy pick for next week.

I am not going to get cocky (well, unless you pull it out)..anyways...I am a humble man enjoying being chased instead of chasing like last year!

Good luck to all! Come and get me!!!!! wink
gamecock
No need to worry about relinquishing your hold on first place anytime soon, PacerPride....I added Allen Iverson to my lineup this week only to find out that he missed tonight's game with a "finger injury" sad.gif -- I'm not sure how long he'll be out (hopefully only this ONE game)....I'm still happy with the rest of my lineup, though, and even though it looks like you've got the "first half season championship" wrapped up (going wire-to-wire too from day 1 -- very impressive, PacerPride  ) after the all-star break next month the standings COULD dramatically change. tongue.gif
dznerick
Gamecock...like I said...Come and Get Me! biggrin.gif

I am waiting and in position...HAHA...I have had a little too much to drink tonight! So please forgive me....

I am a bottom on the top...I LOVE IT!

I love you guys....NOW GIVE ME MY BUDLIGHT! tongue.gif
Theo
Theo is slipping to the bottom of the pile. He got "distracted" and forgot to set his lineup.
RCKSoniK
Well now the Lakers have GP, Shaq, Kobe and Fox, so no more injury excuses, the Sonics excuse could probably be that they spent so much energy on last nights thriller against the Mavs, then had to travel. I think GP was waiting for this game, had an extraordinary game with 24 points, while Ray Allen had a triple double. This may finally be the week I've had the best line-up. I went with Tony Parker, Michael Redd, Kevin Garnett, Tim Duncan, Greg Ostertag and Paul Silas, before today I had a 20 point lead on Pacerpride, and today I have 35 from Redd, 38 from Garnett, 16 from Ostertag and 5 from Silas, the Cavs are on a 3 game winning streak. It's hard to believe that 24 is GP's season high.

The T-Wolve game is still going so now I got 41 from Garnett, Did anyone see the Sonic game when Nate McMillan got pissed off and went out on the court and knocked the ball out of bounds, then got T'd, that was pretty funny.

I put some more pics of Ray Allen, GP, Richie Frahm, RLewis, and Antonio Daniels on My Sonics Page, one with Ray Allen in the Sonics' home retro gold jersey.
