I'm sure it was just typical Phil Jackson Zen Master spin, but he was quoted as saying that the Lakers could lose all their games until Shaq returns (about 2-3 weeks?). I watched both of their games so far and while it's true that they miss The Big Philosopher, they just look ragged and unsure of themselves. Kobe hasn't been all that great and the offense looks like they haven't run plays in practice for a year.
It doesn't matter though. Once Shaq returns, order will be restored.

Did anyone hear Shaq on the radio the other day: "I'm not worried about the Sacramento Queens" LOL !!!!! I'm sort of insulted by that...I think...I dunno...not that I'd ever talk back to Shaq...

I was at the Heat/Magic game last night and the Magic look good. If Hill stays healthy I got the Magic and of course the Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals this year. Although my Celtics lost last night we will be fine. I too must say that it is always great to see the Lakers with a losing record, even if it is only 2 games into the season.

MJ scores 21 points in 22 minutes. And yesterday, they said he was too old.

FAKERS, I mean LAKERS, You should know that I'm a proud, certified, card-carrying MFFL (Mavs Fans For Life).
OSUFAN, I think it's what you call a bandwagon jumper who lives in a city with an NBA team but cheers for the most recent champion.

What's with the Warriors only playing first round pick Mike Dunleavy all of 19 seconds in his first game? I know the Warriors won and that's what counts, but shouldn't the number 4 overall pick get a bit more floor?

For all of you information! I have been a LAKER Fan for 20+ years! Jumping on a band wagon? I don't think so, as for NJ having a team, I'm closer to Philly anyways, If where I live dictates who I cheer for I am not in the home of the free! As for you idiots who call the LAKERS the Fakers just what are they faking?... Wining 3 straight NBA titles? Nope they did that didn't they? As for not winning w/o Shaq remember they are also w/o Mr. Fox. So to all I say: "Just be about your way and have a nice day" and talk to me in June when the games matter! LAKERS LAKERS LAKERS AII YI YII!!!

Ah, the vultures are already circling around the Lakers. But they're gonna go hungry once The Big Aristotle comes back.
Lakers v. Clippers tonight. The Clips are already in turmoil. The Donald (Sterling, that is) is up to his usual "I don't give a shit about a winning team as long as my real estate and Hollywood pals show up in my luxury box" ways and is refusing to authorize the bucks to keep the exciting young Clippers together. So, it looks as if history will repeat and in 2 years, it'll be back to the bad old days of 25 wins a year. *Sigh* They could be so good, but he just doesn't care.

Dunleavy ain't my boy! It just amazes me with some of these shithole franchises. The Warriors haven't made the playoffs since the year of the flood and they take a guy higher than most people felt he deserved to go and then don't utilize him. Well, I guess it shouldn't amaze me at all!

C'mon, George, be specific. Which flood was it? Was it the Great Flood from the Bible? The Johnstown Flood? Curt Flood?
