Does anyone have the whole story on his first marriage, "scandalous" affair, and subsequent new marriage? I think he has remarried, but have lost track of his affairs. Inquiring minds want to know!

I don't have all the details but I think it can be summed up like this: Chipper Jones is a slut.

All I know is that his first marriage broke up after he got a waitress from Hooters pregnant. That was comic fodder for the radio stations all over Atlanta for quite a while. To his credit, Chipper Jones did not shy away from the responsibility he had in fathering a child with the waitress. He takes care of that kid.

I have no idea if the waitress is his second wife or not (seems unlikely, but ya never know). Still, Chipper handled the situation like a man. He owned up to the mistakes he made and the pain he caused. I have respect for that.

His wife now is not the Hooters girl, but someone else. I lived in ATL at the time, and it was so sad - just before it happened his first wife was on the cover of some society magazine, and inside she talked about how they wanted to have kids but were waiting for the right time. I felt bad for her. I've never thought he was that hot.

Yes, and her picture was once plastered on a billboard at the Phils' ballpark in spring training, to the amusement of his teammates. They split up since and he remarried.

Chipper Jones settled with the first wife a day before the divorce case was supposed to go to court. My guess is someone told him that it wouldn't do wonders for his public image for his soon-to-be ex-wife to be calling the Hooters girlfriend to the witness stand. He has since remarried (not the Hooters waitress) and has a son. I think the Hooters waitress lives in the Atlanta area now as well so the other son can be near his dad.

Although it should be questioned if this topic belongs in a baseball board room. Has anyone heard the rumor of a Mariner recently welcoming a new baby boy? And his wife is, of course, not the mother.

I don't know about the Mariners guy but I do know that Chipper Jones handled his situation like a man. I admire that. I think he is now remarried with another son from this wife. He is extrememly proud to be a father and of his two sons. He seems to be happy in this marriage. So maybe his days of being a hound are over. To bad for us though, but at least we can still fantasis about the stud. WOOF!

The TV program Beyond the Glory did a feature on Chipper Jones. The new wife is interviewed and she talks about how, on their first date, Chipper Jones filled her in on his romantic travails (she didn't know much about him beforehand.) In what is a major understatement, she said, "It was a lot to process on the first date."
