I agree, G-Lo. Carter should step aside and yield to Jordan. This just goes to show how classy of a guy Tracy McGrady is.

Jordan disclosed before the Wizards game tonight that Iverson made the same offer a week and a half ago, right after the the line-ups were announced; Jordan said he just kept it to himself until tonight...
He also says that he's turning both offers down and that A.I. and T-Mac both deserve to start in their places and that he would have done the same thing when he was young if Dr. J had been voted on as a reserve....
Has the NBA found "class" at last?!

The NBA has added a new event for All-Star Weekend: the Skills Challenge, a sort-of obstacle course for point guards.
QUOTE
The 989 Sports Skills Challenge is a new event designed to highlight the NBA’s top point guards. It features four players competing in a timed “obstacle course” event consisting of dribbling, passing and shooting stations. In addition to Payton, Jason Kidd of the New Jersey Nets, Stephon Marbury of the Phoenix Suns and Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs will participate.

You mean NBA players will really have to dribble -- and learn not to travel -- I'll believe it when I see it

!
Hey Bucky how about this for a disclaimer-"any resemblance between what goes on in the NBA and the game of Basketball is purely accidental and totally unintentional"

I read that Vince Carter said, "It would be an insult to the fans for someone they voted to start to step down to give another player the chance to start."
Other than for nostalgia reasons, I am not sure why MJ should start this game.
