Jeez these stories are getting really tiresome. It gets tougher every year to remain an NBA fan. Thank goodness for guys like Tim Duncan, Kevin Garnett, Tracy McGrady, Grant Hill, Kobe and Shaq who are all able to shine and stay out of trouble.

[quote]Chicago Bulls forward Marcus Fizer was arrested early Sunday morning after police found a loaded gun in his vehicle.

Illinois Police Sergeant Wayne Winterberg says Fizer was pulled over just after 2 a.m. on Interstate 290 in Chicago for having tinted windows on his GMC Yukon. It is illegal in Illinois to tint the windshield and front driver's side and passenger windows.

Police then found Fizer, 24, was driving with a suspended license. Winterberg said when police searched the car, they discovered .40-caliber Beretta underneath a seat. Fizer was charged with unlawful use of a weapon and driving on a suspended license.

A bond hearing is scheduled for later Sunday.

The Chicago Bulls did not immediately return telephone calls to The Associated Press.

Fizer, a 6-foot-8 forward and former Iowa State star, had been a member of the Bulls the two past seasons. He was a first-round draft pick, taken fourth overall, in 2000. Last year, he averaged 12.3 points, 5.6 rebounds and 1.6 assists.

Fizer, 23, was also on USA Basketball's 2001 gold-medal winning team in the Goodwill Games in Brisbane, Australia.
