ESPN.com has compiled a list of the 10 Greatest Underdog Champions of All Time, motivated by the compelling runs of the Wild and Mighty Ducks in the Stanley Cup playoffs. Since #1 is a baseball team, I figured I'd post it here. Moderators feel free to relocate it to a more appropriate forum if you need.

1. 1969 New York Mets
2. 1980 US Olympic Hockey team
3. 1990 Heavyweight Champ Buster Douglas
4. 1983 NC State NCAA Basketball
5. 1968 New York Jets
6. 2001 New England Patriots
7. 1955 US Open Golf Winner Jack Fleck
8. 1995 New Jersey Devils
9. 1999 Kentucky Derby Winner Charismatic
10. 1995 Houston Rockets

Here's a couple that I think could have made the top ten list.

- 1969/70 Kansas City Chiefs. They were a wildcard team in the AFL, and the Vikings were more heavily favored in Super Bowl IV than the Colts over the Jets.

- 1984/85 Villanova College BB. They were a number eight seed, and defeated a lot of great teams before beating Georgetown (with Patrick Ewing) in the final.
