And Larry, exactly what does this mean for Bonzi Wells?  Is he out now?  If so, who gets him? [/QB]
Almost no one has any cap room left, and those that do don't seem interested in him. He's not willing to take the mid-level exception (so he says). So apparently the Kings are trying to engineer a sign and trade for him. I thought the Pistons were interested, but I'm not sure who'd they be willing to part with that Sacramento would want.

I see that Bonzi makes $8M/year. Salmons only cost them $5M/year. Sadly, I agree with the Kings about Bonzi; he's overpaid and I wouldn't resign him, not at $8M/year. The Kings probably would be interested in Chauncey Billups, Richard Hamilton, or Tayshaun Prince, I think, but they don't need a point guard (Bibby is better than Billups), and the Pistons aren't about to give up Richard Hamilton or Tayshaun Prince for Bonzi Wells (they are both better Bballers than Bonzi). So, does Bonzi Wells have any options left? I assume that even the Kings mid-level exception offer is now off the table? Right? Plus, what the Kings really need is a center.

Yeah, I think Bonzi is twisting in the wind for now. The Kings have moved on.
