It was no surprise to Raptors fans that GM Glen Grunwald was fired today. And one wouldn't be surprised to see first year coach Kevin O'Neill or a number of Raptor players gone in the off season.

The press and the fans have turned on Grunwald after a succession of blunders which may have started with the Hakeem Olajuwon signing. Hakeem played one unproductive season, but his contract stayed on the books for two more seasons. Then there was a series of unsuccessful draft picks (not including the past year's pick of Chris Bosh), questionable signings, and desperation moves this season, including the acquision of: Robert Archibald, Janero Pargo, Dion Glover, Corey Blount, Rod Strickland.

Actually, his blunders probably started when he signed Michael "Yogi" Stewart to a 4-year, $16 mil deal. Stewart has a career average of 2.2 points/game.

The Raptors apparently have the 10th highest payroll... and the 23rd best record. Somebody has to pay for that.
