Did anyone else hear his press conference with the Miami media? He must have mentioned "walking naked on the beach" five times, and referred to himself as "the big brother to Wade" just as he used to call himself Kobe Bryant's big brother. He also referenced the two-year squabble over whose-team-were-the-Lakers by saying the Heat is "Wade's team. I'm just here to help him." He's always been good in press situations and will generate lots of copy for the Miami papers.

probably Haulover Beach, the nude beach between Miami and Ft.Lauderdale.....I mean, I've HEARD there was a nude beach there.... wink

Shaq even joked about the photographers who may follow him to the nude beach--"if you take any pictures of me on the beach to sell to the 'Enquirer' I get 15%"

It was a pretty funny press conference, and what was funnier was how every station in the area devoted seemingly half of their nightly newscast to Shaq! This town has gone crazy for the Heat. They could slip past the Fins in popularity in this area the way things are going...

If the Heat win a championship, it's a done deal. I lived in Houston when the Rockets won their two titles in '94 & '95. People who had never cared about basketball before became fans, and the Rockets quickly replaced the Oilers as the kings of the city.
