Well you didn't need psychic powers to see this eventuality. The former NBA player was arrested on kidnapping charges in California.

Yet another Jailblazer in trouble. Security found a loaded gun on the Blazers plane at Boston's Logan Airport. The gun was in a pillowcase belonging to Telfair.
QUOTE
Telfair explained to local authorities that the gun belonged to his girlfriend and that he had inadvertently grabbed the wrong bag when leaving for the team's road trip.
Um, yeah okay.
Blazer Busted with Broad's Bag!

Blazer Busted with Broad's Bag! A classic "my dog ate my homework" excuse.
Wasn't Isaiah Rider the guy who changed his name a few times during his time in the NBA?

He was known as J.R. Rider at some point. He had previously plead guilty to cloning cell phones (basically, stealing free service -- so hard to afford that monthly fee when you're pulling down only a couple million a year).

He is Isaiah Rider, Jr. In school other kids made fun of the name Isaiah. Since he was called "JR" at home, for junior, he started insisting on being called JR. Then later on he decided Isaiah was a good Bible name and nothing to be ashamed of so he went back to being called Isaiah. Or JR. Or Isaiah JR.
Not sure how Sebastian Telfair got into the thread though; neither he nor Chris Kaman's weapons woes have much to do with Rider.

I did it to consolidate. If we had a separate thread for all the Trailblazers (past or present) who get busted, the board might very well jam up.

Speaking of Sebatian Telfair... has anybody seen the newly-relased documentary on him called
Through the Fire.

I never heard of it...but it's got the "ESPN Original Entertainment" logo on it, so I guess we know which network will televise it endlessly once it finishes its theatrical run.

As usual, Joe is correct. "Through the Fire" will begin airing on ESPN on March 12, with numerous rebroadcasts to follow.

Even quicker than I thought. Then again, it doesn't sound like it was going to be a big box office draw.
