Sport's Illistrated should have a version for women to cover women's sports and issues of interest by women readers and athletes.

Sports Illustrated did publish such a magazine:
SI For Women. It went under in 2002. from their old webste: " ... sometimes even loyal readers aren't enough to make the numbers add up."
I, for one, will remember it fondly -- but no I never read the articles -- and only bought it once a year:
The Swimsuit Issue!

Yeah, I had a friend (straight male) who kept offering me subs to SI for Women as a birthday gift, but I told him I could not buy the mag, regular or women's version, until someone explained what sport a swimsuit issue is.

A swimsuit issue isn't much of a sport, but it is good marketing that actually sells it's product.

I realize this is an old topic, but there is a magazine e-zine called Real Sports @ realsportsmag.com. I think it contains a lot of great info, and since it's not in print it should hopefully last longer than SI for women.
