UCLA just won a tournament and swept Florida and Hawaii. They're a big team to watch out for. Nellie Spicer is an awesome setter for them

I just recently witness #8 Texas be defeated by unranked Oklahoma in Norman. 3 games to 2 and it was sweet! OU is now 11-3 overall and like 4-1 in conference!!

New Mexico State last night ended Hawaii's remarkable 114-match WAC winning streak, defeating the Wahine 22-30, 30-28, 27-30, 30-24, 15-13. Hawaii hadn't lost a league match since 1998. New Mexico State improved to 21-1 overall this season.

That is so awesome for New Mexico State Univ. Didn't realize they were an up and coming team?

New Mexico State is really good... certainly better than their #25 ranking. They've been good for a couple of years now. Last year, they finished 20-7 overall and in 2nd place in the WAC just behind Hawaii but were passed over for an NCAA bid. The NCAA committee selected 3 WAC teams (Hawaii, 3rd-place Utah State and 4th-place Nevada) but NOT the Aggies. It was very unfair to be passed over and see two teams that finished below you make the tourney. Twice last season, NMSU took Hawaii to 5 games before losing.
With NMSU's arena undergoing renovation, the Aggies haven't even played a true home match all year either. They've been playing their matches at a local high school. That makes the 22-1 record even more impressive.

I'm stupid when it comes to volleyball-can't remember basics from high school gym
114 matches-that's not complete games is it?

Yep! I usually know Hawaii from the WAC but its nice to see other teams challenge them.

#2 Penn State's 41 Big Ten match winning streak is at an end. Wisconsin swept them last night in Madison.
Nittany Lions should still win the conference title though.

omg..I can't believe Penn State lost but hats off to the Badgers. They deserved the win and a 3-0 sweep really impresses me.

Go Badgers! As a former Madison student, i was giddy watching them sweep Penn State. It was shocking to see Hodge have such an all around terrible match. She had all the special video clip hype before the match and really seemed to drag her team down. Maybe the fans got to her? I remember sitting in the stands there listening to the fans jeer players on the away teams. Pretty ruthless, but mostly in fun.
But you have to give credit to Wisconsin hitting well over .300 against one of the best blocking teams in the country.
This loss could hurt Penn State's seeding going into the tourney.
