ROTFLMAO!!!!!
That is the funniest thing I have read in some time! TOOOOO true! GO SOX!
MIB
You are a man after my own heart, Miami. wink
Herr Tiggee
I just spent the last five minutes laughing my ass off on that link. HYSTERICAL! biggrin.gif

The point at which I lost my shit was Kerry Wood getting zapped.

Also love the "15 Old Styles". heh heh heh.

MIB - are you pro-Cub or anti-Cub?
MIB
AU, I have only two favorite teams: The White Sox and anyone who plays the Cubs.

The Cubs are the AntiChrist of baseball.

Does that answer your question? biggrin.gif

On a side note: Wrigley Field is falling apart. Fans might want to wear a hardhat when attending games at the friendly confines. From the Chicago Tribune.

QUOTE
The Chicago Cubs on Friday will begin a detailed search for weak spots or defects in concrete at the ballpark following the team's disclosure Thursday that a third piece of concrete, this one from the upper deck on the right field side, apparently had fallen onto the seating area below.

After incidents on June 9 and July 16 when concrete chunks fell at different spots, a team employee on Wednesday found a fragment that was \"relatively small, palm-of-your-hand\" sized, said Mike Lufrano, Cubs vice president for community affairs.

MIB---I happen to be wearing my Sox jersey as we speak....
My two favorite teams are the Sox (I grew up in Wheaton), and the Marlins, since I've been here for the past 12 years....and the fact they embarrassed the Cubs in the playoffs!
MIB
Wheaton, eh? That's practically right next to me.

It WAS nice when the Marlins devastated Cubs fans by coming from behind to win the NLCS, wasn't it? Not even I thought they'd beat both Prior AND Wood two days in a row. Thankfully they did. I couldn't have handled the Cubs in the World Series.

One thing's for sure, they won't make it this year. biggrin.gif
MIB
Speaking of the Sox, Miami, did ya catch the finish to the game Saturday? We came from behind 5-1, tied it, and with one out in the bottom of the 9th and a 3-2 count, Joe Crede smacked a game-winning dinger. Sox win 7-6.

I didn't think Crede was that cute until they interviewed him immediately after the game. That young man is nice, if you know what I mean. biggrin.gif Pictures of him don't do him justice.

Here's a pic of him that I don't think will last long on the Net:

I saw the finish on Sportscenter...I don't get WGN on my local cable, so I rarely get to see them play...

And the Fish definately won't be repeating this year, especially if they can't even beat the Expos!

Had dinner with a couple of guys who have just moved to Miami from NY, and one was saying the NY Times had a recent article about gays moving to Wheaton of all places.... eek!
Can't imagine it!

I'm actually reading the article now. It talks about this one couple who fly a gay pride flag from the house in Wheaton! I'd pay big money to see that!

Yeah, it is pretty much the Lynchburg-VA or ColoSprings of the Midwest. eek!

Then again, didn't Mel White (of Soulforce) and his partner buy a house right near Falwell's church or college or something? Now that's making a statement!

I have a little rainbow flag poking above the top of my cubicle wall (nowhere in DuPage, thankfully), and it's only been knocked down once (and that was accidentally, I assume, by a maintenance guy standing in the next cube and trying to unblock an A/C vent). rolleyes.gif

So we shall see how things go. GO CUBBIES!!!!
Joe in Philly
The netting is secure! The city allowed the Cubs to play at Wrigley today against the Phils.

I am a Cubs fan and found the game sooooo funny! Thanks for the laughs.

I live in Carol Stream, which is right next to Wheaton. I think I will take a drive to find the Gay Pride flag. I used to work in a fine jewelry store in the area and was amazed by the amount of gays lurking around the mall. I love the idea of lily-white Christian Wheaton being the suburban hub of gay residences. tongue.gif

Me too! I love the though of gays moving in and stirring things up! There is a Wheaton College Gay Alumni Association...Not officially sanctioned by the college of course....
