Arizona would have more to worry about if Schilling or Johnson got hurt.

Granted, It's Johnson & Schilling who're the backbone of the D-backs organization. But as far as I'm concerned, Gonzo has always been the team's heart & him getting knocked out for the rest of the season, on top of all the other injuries that have plagued the team lately has, I think, probably doomed their chances of goin' to the Series again this year.

As an avid DBacks fan, let me be the first here to say....well shit.

Are they doomed? Not sure. They can bounce back when they need to. Of course, they need to win now more than ever, and they're not. Sure, a back-to-back championship is less likely now, but the team won't lose hope, and nor should the fans.
