Hey Guys,
I'm new to the boards but have been scouting outsports.com for a while now (when the roomie isn't in of course). Its really great to find a site that combines two seemingly opposite ideas--liking sports and liking guys.
I'm still trying to figure this stuff out myself, but getting to talk with other guys about sports who also happen to be gay makes me feel a little bit better about myself. I know that a gay guy liking sports isn't an anomoly, and there are other like-minded guys out there (though not an overabundance).
Once again, I'm glad I'm onboard. And for all the LA guys here, drop me a line. We'll talk about how the Trojans will go to the Final Four while the Bruins will just slip on their coach's hairgel.

Welcome, Trojan! I love to see the younger guys show up here. Wish I had found this site when I was your age...oh wait, there was no Internet then...or PCs...

Hey Trojan110 -
I totally agree with you. I only recently joined Outsports, but what an amazing find. I've always been a sports buff and it was frustrating that most of my gay friends just weren't into it. (Likewise, I'll never understand their obsession with Crate 'N Barrel and Ikea). Anyway, it's been great discussing various topics these past couple of weeks with fellow members who really know their stuff.
Oh yeah, I'm a big-time Bruins fan, so bring it on, Trojan! (Although, if you don't mind, I'd rather not talk about a certain 27-0 football game that took place a couple months ago).

Good point Jordan...
You hear about the Lexus Gauntlet trophy? It's basically some marketing gimmick by LExus to see which school--USC or UCLA--beats the other the most by the end of the year. I believe that we're up a few points with the football and B-ball wins. Fight On!

Yeah, I've heard about the Gauntlet. Right now, you guys are wayyy ahead! I really hope the Bruins come back & take this competition. If we lose, it would be as painful as hearing the USC band play that monotonous Trojan march over & over. (Eeeeek!)

THIS, IS THE ONLY SONG WE KNOW, ITS BORING AND ITS SLOOOOOOW.
I must admit I love the band, think its one of the best. But yea, it does get old at the football games round about the 3rd quarter. That and those damn yell leaders. "Come on Trojans, let see those victory sign". Ya just wanna stick that megaphone over their heads!
But after all is said and done, GO TROJANS!!!

Pretty funny, I read this thread from the bottom up, saw ``Gauntlet,'' and thought you were discussing the gay bar in Silver Lake.

Don't know the bar; I just know the Gauntlet trophy looks like the old Nintendo "Power-Glove." I didn't have a Powerglove, so I had to play Super Mario Bros 3 and TechmoBowl with a regular controller.
