Have we heard from Ung lately?
Ung last posted in mid February, so he has been posting occasionally, although not as often as he used to.
I'm still here. But not coming to the website as I used to.
I've been focusing on work ever since my breakup after two years of dating. You guys know how it goes. You start seeing someone and many things get put on the back burner. well... Now I'm playing catchup.
Doing a lot of traveling. was just in Philly not too long ago and called Scottie but just got his voicemail.
Made a point of walking around Central park along "The Gates" But I'll wait til it's warmer before I really hangout in the Park on a regular basis (not THAT way, you perv!)
I know I missed a lot of sports discussions. All I gotta say is "Louisville Cardinals in The Final Four Baby!!!" Bring it!
When I get some time, I'll start appearing in the sports and politics discussions again.
Hello to everyone I haven't "spoken" to in a long time.

I'm here guys. Yes, it's nice to know there are those that miss you when you're not around. Things are fine but I have just had a very busy travel schedule with the new job lately and it hasn't allowed me a lot of down time to visit Outsports like I used to.
Glad to see my beloved MDB and George still here.

There I was, on vacation in Rome. Visiting the Vactican and the Sistine Chapel.
Well, 'Tacky,' doesn't begin to discribe it. So I got out my Sharpie and started painting mustaches on all the faces on the wall.
I got arrested and locked in some storeroom. For the last year I've been living off communion wafers and wine.
The last thing I remember after screaming, "Let me out, let me out!" was the Popes reply, "Over my dead body."
Well, here I am. Nice to be back guys.

And please don't even kid about the possibility of the Bluester's return! Please!
But seriously, nice to hear from you Thump even if it did take the death of the Pope for you to get back to us. They can always elect a new Pope; there is only 1 Thumper!

I will be signing off for about 6 weeks due to some medical problems - thanks to everyone who wrote asking why I wasn't writing so much this month.
Its something serious - related to an infection I caught (possibly while I was diving), but not immediately life threatening; so I have to take some time off from my cruise plans and head back to the US for some long term care.
I am going to be in the hospital most of the time, and they have said no to my Laptop, Cellphone, and Axim. hopefully I should be back online again in about 6 weeks.

I'm bringing back this thread to see if there's anyone else who hasn't posted lately but is still lurking on the board, in case they'd like to check in with us.
Someone sent me a PM asking about George Twinsfan (aka George vikingfan), who hasn't posted in a while. I cannot reply to the PM because their PM Mailbox is full.

But to answer the question, I haven't heard from George lately. I hope he is well. If you're lurking, George, please check in.

Finally, success in logging in after numerous frustrating attempts, and no response to requests for help from Outsports administrators. I'm not sure if my absence was noticed since I am less prolific than many others, but I think I qualify as a 'missing poster' as it's been three months since my last post. I was on an extended trip to South America in May-June and busy with other stuff since returning, but am now looking forward to chatting with y'all soon about hockey, baseball and other earth-shattering issues.

Jim, when I clicked on 'contact us' after many futile attempts to log in, an e-mail window opened with the address mail@outsports.com so that is where I sent my questions. They were not bounced back with a 'failed delivery' notice, so I assumed you had received them, but apparently not. Perhaps there is another address I should have used?

He probably got sick of what OS has become. There are many old regulars who said, "to hell with that place." I think we have around 2/3 the number of "regulars" that once graced this venue. The clock is ticking on OS. I blame P&R.

I also worry about the fate of Outsports. I still think that there is a critical mass of people who chime in on the various sports of their choosing. But as a (relatively) new member, I've barely posted more than 100 times and I've already witnessed first-hand the arrogance and condescension of some of the members of this board, especially on the P&R forums. Perhaps this is an unfortunate side-effect of having online anonymity.
It's also pretty unfortunate that some of the Outsports members who've been here the longest are also some of the most mean-spirited. frown
How about this for an idea: Delete the P&R section entirely. The whole darned thing. I wouldn't miss it for the world. I get soooooooo tired of trying to impart my illustrious wisdom upon the masses there.

Hey everyone! Sorry I haven't been around for awhile. I actually dropped internet service at my house because I wanted to go outside and meet people. (Bright Lights) LOL
I miss you all, and think about you all often. I went to the Gay Rodeo in Calgary, and had a blast, and then to Vancouver BC for Pride this summer. Talk about a good time!
Other than that, I have been workin out, and trying to get into shape. I've lost 40 Lbs in the last year and feel great.
I have also met a great guy in the last few months, and I'm enjoying every minute I get to spend with him.
So, once again, thanks for the shout out up above, and sorry I haven't been around. I'll try to check in more often.
Love ya guys!
