Trying to post a pic in the Profile, but don't seem to have much luck, i was trying to put a link to my MSN profile, but it keeps failing...Help!!!!!

Thanks
Jim at Outsports
I've never done it. Has anyone else???
curtj
ummm... i've had a pic in my profile since the first day registered, but i didn't think i was pulling off a technological stunt. i think all i did was link to the image in my clubhouse profile. it's been a while so i don't even remember exactly.

<since this post, i decided a more appropriate use of the picture option was to coyly make a very, very important political statement about the flagrant use of smileys>

Hey Rick, it's not your fault buddy , the problem is with MSN. If you post your photo on a site that allows direct links,
IPB Image
it should show up just fine.

Shucks, ATLJock, thanks. I must admit i took a peek at your homepage and was STUNNED, just astonished, by the number of visitors your counter has clocked!! My god, man. How do you keep up?

And okay, i thought your pecs were cute too. <blush>

Curtj, I definatly have to agree with ATLJock, you are one fine looking man. Love the legs. Oh ya, are you pretty furry too? Just curious.

If you have a need for a 25 year old house boy let me know. I'm ready for a move.

Hey rickinto, you're welcome... But wait, there's more! Your profile now shows the URL of your Facelink page, but you should also be able to post the photo directly if you want. Here's how:

Go to the page that displays your picture.

Copy the URL of the photo itself:
o In Internet Explorer, right-click the photo, choose Properties, select the contents of "Address(URL)", right-click the selected text, choose Copy.
o In Netscape, right-click the photo, choose Copy Image Location.

Now go back to your Outsports profile, clear the contents of the Your Picture field, right-click in the same field, choose Paste.

That should do it. Save your profile, then display it again and make sure the link is working.

Some sites refuse direct links (Geocities), others will display the image only to its own logged-on users (Yahoo). It's often a matter of trial and error. (illini, how did you get the Geocities URL link to work over on the Alstott thread?)

Anyway rickinto, I hope that helps... (PS- Nice pair of Speedos!)

It was a team suit for "IGLA 2001 Toronto", my butt must have stretched out the letters, making it hard to read....LOL

Hey Ken:
Tell everyone how you did it. Thanks.
Ken
I just followed the way that redsoxbreath outlined in an above post. I had trouble finding out how to get in my profile, but that was it.
