Please, please, please. Post text links to photos, NOT huge pictures (there have been many lately). They make the board load more slowly and take up too much visual space. We have asked people to restrict actual images to small ones.
We do not want to turn off the ability to directly post an image as a link, but will if we get overrun by these huge images. Thanks for your understanding and cooperation.

And while we're discussing height restrictions, there's no need, when replying to someone's post, to paste someone's entire post in the quote box, then type your 2 or 3 sentences. Please just use 1 or 2 key sentences. We're a smart bunch here and can figure out what you're referring to. Some of the threads don't have that many posts in them, but take up page after page because of this.
Sorry, this might not be the Pet Peeve thread....
When posting photo links, please use the UBB Code "URL" rather than "IMAGE", so readers can choose to display them or not, particularly important for dialup users. Plus you'll reduce the bandwidth burden on Outsports' server. Thanks

After our last discussion the consensus seemed to be as follows:
- One SMALL pic per individual thread is OK
- If adding a pic further down in the thread, to go back and change the earlier image from an IMG to a URLs
Is this still OK?
As an example - the Wally Szczerbiak thumbnail in the Pro Basketball Forum. Is one of that size still ok? Thanks .....
PS I did do a bad on a larger Katherine Harris thread (the devil made me do it ) I've gone back and edited it into a URL...
An image of the size shown in the
Wally thread, not a problem at all.
