I don't usually pay attention to such things, but did anyone else notice the link at the top of the main page to a site for Regeneration Books, which promotes the "healing" of homosexuality and God's design for one man and one woman sex? I guess it's fair to give them ad space if they want to advertise, and bully for Outsports if they can get some money from that, but it seems damn odd. Besides being a load of crap, I mean.
Just curious.

I'm very troubled outsports would take advertising revenue from those f**ks!

For the record, I just assumed that Outsports would have gotten money from that banner. It may not be the case at all. I wasn't speaking with any official knowledge....

On the home page, right next to "Outsports" at the top of your screen, there's always a banner with a link. It changes frequently. Just now, for me, it was a link to turn your computer into a lie detector. Yesterday, there was a link to regeneration books. I looked in my web history and found the address:
What a load of crap!

Now, out of morbid fascination, I've explored their website. Here are some of the choice titles available to you at Regeneration Books:
A Ripple On A Pond
The real life story of a man and his family assaulted by the terrible intrusion of AIDS into their lives. In the mid-1980's, Bob Blackford, a family man working in a Christian ministry, became involved in a homosexual relationship and contracted HIV and then AIDS. Walk alongside Bob and his family, witness their pain and struggle and ultimately enter with them into a place of hope, faith, love and acceptance.
A Strong Delusion
Written by a former member of the pro-gay church movement, this book gives clear and forthright rebuttals to "gay theology" issues
Crisis In Ministry
An excellent resource for those fighting the homosexuality issue on any religious denominational front.
Homosexuality and the Politics of Truth
Psychiatrist author provides data that shows that homosexuality is changeable.
The disgusting list goes on and on.....

They do indeed change. I'm not sure how much control the guys have over what banners appear, but I would urge them to ban this ad.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We are served by an ad service that rotates various ads. We will contact them and tell them to NOT make this book/company a part of the rotation. If someone sees it pop up again, please let us know the name of the book or company. There is no way we would ever willingly run an ad by such an outfit.
Thanks for your understanding and please alert us if you see anything else amiss. It's a new service with dozens of rotating advertisers and it's not easy to always tell what is being sold by the name.

The name of the company is Regeneration Books. I feel like Sherlock Holmes!

I couldn't imagine you guys would knowingly accept ads from such a business. Thanks for looking into it. Your work is greatly appreciated!!!

Hi: There are literally dozens of campaigns and none with Regeneration Books in the title, so ferreting them out may take a little time. If you see the ad, please click on it and send us the link
mailto:mail@outsports.commail@outsports.com
We will follow up with the ad server people to ensure this does not happen.

Reminds me of one of my LTC's favorite jokes:
QUOTE
One day Sherlock Holmes and Watson sat down to enjoy their favourite lunch of fish and chips. Just as they were about to tuck in, Holmes suddenly stood up and shouted.
\"Watson stand up!\"
Confused, Watson stood up.
\"Watson! Drop your trousers!\" he barked.
Worried, Watson loosened his belt and dropped his trousers.
\"Watson! Bend over!\" Holmes ordered.
Watson bent over.
Holmes then plucked the wedge of lemon from Watson's plate and shoved it straight up Watson's arse.
Watson screamed \"In God's name Holmes what on earth are you doing?\"
To which Holmes calmly replied \"A lemon-entry my dear Watson ... a lemon-entry ...\"
Sorry, couldn't resist that.

I love corny jokes like that. I'll never think of Watson in quite the same way again....

Hi: We have stopped the offending ads and are contacting the ad service to make sure they never appear again. Since this thread has driven off the tracks into a joke-fest, it will now be closed.
