The 4th ranked Texas Longhorns cap their regular season conference championship with the Big 12 Tournament Championship. Texas defeated 3-time defending Big 12 Tournament Champ Nebraska by a score of 9 - 6. The 10 inning game was the first finals game to go to additional innings in Big 12 Tournament play. It was one of the most exciting game I've seen. Good game from both teams!

Texas hosts a regional this weekend. They won their first game yesterday over Central Connecticut State 7-2. They're playing right now against Baylor in Game 2. If they win this game, they'll play Sunday at 1 pm (CST). You can get an internet broadcast by clicking on the left link on:

Horns rally from early deficit to beat Baylor (who has had our number for years) Saturday. We hold the winner's bracket. Baylor later beat Lamar in a wild one. So, Sunday we play Baylor again for the region. We only need to win one. They need to win two. This Texas team is the best we've had since the early 80's. Big XII Champs, Ranked No. 3 in the country, and 50-14 record.

Have y'all played U of H this year? I would imagine having them at home for the super regional will make a big difference.

My boys (Auburn) made an early exit, two and out. We've been on the decline for the last three years or so, and I'm worried it's our coach. He's a good man, but he might not be the right man for the coaching job.

Well, as a Houstonian and a UT fan I'm torn. I would love to see Rice take the 'Horns to the bank (just cuz I love Berkman). They've never won the CWS and UT has been there, done that more than any other team in the history of the event. Hopefully it'll prove to be a good series. Guess I just gotta yell YEEEE-HAAAAWW for Texas teams as they invade Omaha yet again. But I gotta root for the underdog and Hoot a bit, too.

While I haven't been following Longhorn baseball this year, and I do feel delinquent in my duties as a Longhorn Alum, I'd just like to add:
