Where do you get your \"rumors\"? Let's discuss just this item, which is so way off it's laughable:
\"Bruce Chen, SP, Baltimore Orioles: Soft-spoken Asian pitcher who’s been bounced around the league and at one point fingered as the mysterious lover of a the anonymous sportswriter who penned an article about having an affair with a prominent National League East pitcher (Chen was with the Philadelphia Phillies at the time) and members of the Philadelphia talk radio circuit were ready to pounce all over the story—but held off due to legal concerns.\"
This is so way off it's ridiculous. Your item about the \"anonymous sportswriter\" links to Brendan Lemon's Out magazine article about his alleged affair with a ballplayer. Lemon is obviously not anonymous. Lemon is not a sportswriter, he's an editor for a gay magazine. Lemon's article described his lover as a player, not specifically a pitcher. The Lemon article describes the player as \"not his team’s biggest star but a very recognizable media figure all the same.\" Bruce Chen has never been a prominent pitcher, not with the Phillies or at any time in his career, which has seen him bounce to EIGHT different major league teams. He's never been remotely recognizable as a media figure.
I can't answer to the rumors about the Phila. talk shows wanting to jump on it, but considering how pathetic the rest of this item is, I sincerely doubt it.
