Greetings!
A term paper that I wrote approximately a year ago about interpersonal interaction between gay and straight college-aged males has been accepted by an academic journal and will be published this fall.
I'm currently in the process of making a few revisions to the article as requested by the journal's editor. The article right now is very theoretical--we'd like to be able to include a few interviews with people who have experienced this topic first-hand. I thought that interviewing athletes might be appropriate, since they must be able to interact with their teammates.
Anyone is welcome to respond. Ideally, I'm looking to interview someone who fits into any of the following categories:
*You can be an athlete, coach, or anyone else directly connected to a college athletic team with one or more gay players or coaches who you know personally (need not be "official" team--intramural or club sports are fine).
*A gay athlete with straight teammates
*Straight athletes with a gay teammate are also welcome to respond.
If interested in being interviewed, please e-mail me at wwwnau22@yahoo.com for further information. I will conduct interviews by telephone or will send you a questionaire via e-mail. The interview should take no more than 10 minutes to complete. I will send you a copy of the article after it is published.
Thanks for your help! By participating, you will be helping to promote the understanding of issues faced by sexual minorities. Also, if you know anyone else who might be interested in being interviewed, please forward this message on to them.
~Ben
