Hey Everyone:
I am compiling a list of antigay comments made in sports. Here is who I have so far, so please let me know who I missed:

Julian Tavarez (Chicago Cubs reliever)
Goran Ivanisevic (after winning Wimbledon)
Todd Jones (Colorado Rockies pitcher, 2002)
Garrison Hearst (San Francisco running back, 2002)
Jeremy Shockey (NY Giants tight end, 2002 and 2003)
Jason Williams (Sacramento Kings guard)
Allen Iverson (Philadelphia 76ers guard)

How about Martina Hingis - can't remember the year, but she made some nasty anti-lesbian comments about Amelie Mauresmo.

Back in the Billy Martin days, Mickey Rivers made some anti-gay remarks during a flight. I believe he called the flight attendant a "faggot"

I wish I could help - but I'm glad I can't! In cross-country skiing, I have never heard a single really homophobic remark. Nowadays I'm WAY out, but my ski service business contiues to expand.
My teams have teased me, but it's been in the most positive way.

Shea Hillenbrand, who taunted Red Sox GM Theo Epstein to "Trade me, faggot!" on WAAF-FM shortly before he was sent to Arizona in exchange for Byung-Hyun Kim on May 29, '03.

Clinton Portis
He is the only one I can think of to add to your list. Maybe his comments weren't really directed at anyone, he just used the word FAG.

I hate to "out" a Dallas Cowboy (but since he did this when he was an aggy at Texas A&M, I have no qualms).
Dan Campbell (Tight End) said at an A&M pep rally (actually "bonfire" which is always before the TEXAS LONGHORNS game) that he was glad he attended a school where "women date men and men date women". That'll pump up your team every time Dan.

I will add Hillenbrand. Need to get Portis confirmation since I was told they bleeped it out. Need more confirmation on Campbell.

I got the quote slightly wrong, but it was 1998. It's typical aggy culture, so you could probably add a long list of A&M players with some research.
"With tens of thousands of Aggies and A&M supporters in attendance, football team captain Dan Campbell *1*, speaking before an enthusiastic crowd, made derogatory reference to the U. T. student body, then added that he was proud he attended a university where "women like men and men like women." The university's top administrators and coaches were sharing the stage with Campbell at the time."
Dan Campbell 'phobe
